Weeeellllll, depends on how many points they win the Super Bowl by. I they win by 21+ I will celebrate. If they win by less than that then I will bitch about Schotty, the anemic pass rush, how scared Sanchez looks, how we don't disguise our blitzes and teams have figured it out, our kicker and the fact that we should have signed Washington and kept Jones and Faneca forever.
Great post. You compared our history of losing too many close games with this season's heart-stopping OT wins pefectly. I was at the Lions and Browns games. (The only good thing this year about being a Jets fan living in India-crap-olis is having 3 Jets road games within reasonable driving distance.) Man, I almost hate to say it, but given my life-long experience as a member of Green Nation, I thought we were going to lose the Detroit game and said as much to my wife. But for some reason, we weren't sweating it out in the stands in Cleveland. Sanchez was so poised in the pocket. Wow. I'll take 2 overtime, heart-stopping wins over a lopsided win any day (except if we're playing the Pats). More bang for the buck... and seats aren't cheap these days. I guess we are the "same new Jets."
haha...he used to be I think he's fallen off a bit but that happens with a lot DJs when they get popular. I'm sure he's still great live.
Ha. That's awesome that you got to two games. Living in Canada I'm watching them on TV, so I would gladly take a blow out or two to calm my nerves.
The best way I can put it: this is karma for all the bullshit we've had to put up with. Any of you guys that have been a fan since '82 like myself or longer and all the massive defeats we've had to deal with through those years. Even the new jacks who are teenagers or in college......let's enjoy what we've been watching. This is going to be a special team. We have a coach with an unbelievable air of confidence and a room full of guys that don't want to let him or the guy next to him down. I love this team. A 42-7 or 34-3 win every now and then wouldn't hurt neither, fellas.
Too right. We just need to eliminate the boneheaded, big-gain-negating penalties. Those are more frustrating than just about anything else.
Someone would start a thread complaining about only winning the superbowl by 3 on a last second field goal. That is all I can guarantee.
I think there'd be an "we easily could have lost" thread started by a member who registered here in 1997 and has 51 posts
Great post. I like the karma angle. But I would also prefer some blow out wins. Leave the close games for teams I don't care about. But, a close win is far better than a close loss. Enjoying the season...
That's exactly what I'm saying. Maybe we could complain about the lack of pass rush and how many free agents we have coming up?
