I got a fantasy football notification that Sam does not belong on IR anymore and I need to make a roster move. I'll take that!
I'd be shocked if he isn't eligible to play Sunday come 4:25. I didn't think it was a big deal that they gave Sam all the reps last week (assuming he was extremely close to playing and all the reps in the world wouldn't have helped Falk). HOWEVER if he doesn't play this week? I would seriously question that decision because that means they would have been off by 2 weeks. I'm assuming if he isn't cleared today, he might get another test like last week for Friday?
Hopefully he gets cleared today and can go into the regular practice week tomorrow knowing he is 100% starting. It would be a big boost for the team.
I played college tennis, and while a month off isn't the worst thing in the world, a month off with an illness like mono is going to screw up your game. But since he's been practicing already, as long as he's fully cleared today, he should be fine for Sunday.
With Darnold and Herndon back, we can finally evaluate Gase properly. Will be very interesting to see how the offense looks.
Okay now serious question. Can we 'safely assume' Sam is 100% ready to go? Thus we can start to truly judge Gase if we still suck?
Funny how slimeball Manish Mehta has bitched and complained about Gase for the last 3 weeks. Now Darnold is cleared and this is his tweet: Seems like people are starting to understand that having Luke Fuckin Falk as your QB ain't gonna win you any games
Without a doubt. I have been in the "can't truly judge Gase" camp more than most here, but I really believe that it wasn't fair to put all the blame directly on AG. If we don't see a drastic improvement from weeks 1-5, I will have no problem putting Gase on blast. Wins and Losses are still irrelevant to me - I need to see 14 take the next step.
Yeah I think so. He has the rest of this week to practice, plus he had non-contact practices last week. No excuses now.
