good backup with a horrible and petty attitude. Speaking of which if we are grooming Bryce Petty for the future, do we really need somebody here that's itching to start and doesn't mind doing things to undercut team chemistry?
Bye-bye Rick Smith GM --------- hello Mike Maccagnan!!!! Schooling the ex-boss. It will end up being a 2016 6th rounder based on play time.
Is he a good backup? I mean if he was a good qb he wouldn't have skipped a meeting because he lost a competition. I think he is probably a bad qb, bad teammate and done in the nfl. Lmao at people that ignore his attitude problems and want to replace geno with him. Thankfully mac has clearer judgement
Yeah, that trade just looks terrible for them now - especially considering how well he was playing last year before he broke his leg.
There's no such thing as a good backup with a bad attitude. The backup QB's job is to be invisible, absolutely transparent, the guy whose name you vaguely remember when he get shown on the sidelines, always looking over the starter's shoulder as the starter and OC huddle.
Prediction. Fitz will have his best game as a Jet against the Texans. Five TDs and 40 yards scrambling. Texans GM will be fired after the game. Geno fans would immediately argue that was a fluke and is the perfect time for the Jets to make a QB change.
With the way that defense is playing Fitz and Geno both will account for 5 TD's and Ryan Mallet will be watching on TV.
I'd be interested in knowing Maccagan's opinion of Mallett vs. Geno. Frankly a swap would serve both QB's well and I wonder if calls were made.
his opinion is probably that they both kinda suck. and they both are idiots but Geno Smith is slightly better and he's our idiot
I'd have to take Geno over Mallett. Ok so Geno got punched out by a teammate. But if he was giving the coaching staff any attitude and not looking ok in practice they would have gotten rid of him. If you saw Mallett after he was taken out of a game recently and after that didn't play the guy reeked of attitude it was pretty obvious where he was coming from. You would think after sitting on the bench and almost never playing in New England he'd be able to handle it. The thing with Geno is this was the year he was supposed to either show he belonged or sayonara. He hasn't played at all so we still don't about him. The coaching staff doesn't seem to hate him. He was the favorite to win the starting job the with a new coaching staff and a new GM before the punch out. So I wouldn't make a claim for Mallett. Let Rex do it if he wants.
Might do both QB's well but only do well for Houston and not us. Geno the backup has caused ZERO distractions. Fitzpatrick is playing solid and we have a rookie who is hopefully developing why would bring in a guy who is a problem as a BACKUP? There are no problems right now therefore we should not bring in one.
Dude's a total bum. What is with this fan base and it's obsession with mediocrity? Dang I thought I posted this in the Sign this beast thread
Why in the name of all that's holy would anyone want that little bitch on this team! HELL TO THE NOOOOOOOOOOO!
