I'm convinced that he's gone by Black Monday one way or the other. There's too much smoke about his job being in jeopardy. The process to hire the next HC is what concerns me.
This is what concerns me as well. Given the outright incompetence of ownership, you have to wonder if they might somehow top themselves and find someone even worse than Gase. On the other hand, they may try too hard to do what they think will generate excitement (i.e. a big splash) by trying to land a perceived big fish like Harbaugh, who has been a major disappointment at the college level and is many years removed from his success at the NFL level.
Perception is a very powerful thing.. I'm sure you're familiar with what the perception of jets ownership is... Masters of bad decisions..
Yes, my point was first, he should've been fired last year, and every game since, but CERTAINLY after the Raiders game. And it's not like they actually have to wait to talk to any candidates whether he's fired or not - if they've decided to fire him, which apparently they have whether Monday or after the Pats game, they can talk to whomever they want right now.
I honestly had no fear they were bringing Gase back until this dopey report. This just smacks of Chris begging Gase to win three in a row to give him some justification for bringing him back. And these assholes may just do it!
How can they possibly find someone worse than Gase, bring in Hue Jackson? Get Kotite back out of his rocking chair?
Why in the Hell would a Win Sunday "save his job.?" Only Jet Owners can make December Garbage Time Football as important as Playoff Games.
