Bad analogy, Cochran isn't the guy to get when you've been framed. Thats not how he made his reputation at all. Gonna have to score this round for Dware.

As much as i'd like to believe this, i don't.
How does the crypt keeper know Cower wants to coach again? Is he insinuating the Jets have had talks to guage his interest?
Maybe it's a motivatioal tool to light a fire under Mangina's fat ass?

just heard john clayton on 620 am sports here in Arizona...I guess he is here attending the Cardinals game this weekend. He pretty much guaranteed cower will turn down 9 million to coach the browns. Said he doesn't want to play the rooneys twice a year. He said he would take the Jets and Dallas job in a heartbeat if offered.

The crypt keeper also said that Favre would rather retire than become a Jet.

Anyone think Favre would come back if we had Cowher next year?

I can't think that far ahead. All I will see is if we get Cowher it is because we failed to make the playoffs or got blown out on the first game of the playoffs. If Cohwer does end up coming here I don't want Favre waiting to March to figure out if he wants to play again. He needs to make up his mind early and stick to it. No BS.

Yes, Cowher had a major rebuilding project when he took over the Steelers HC duties. And make NO mistake about it, he had big shoes to fill. I don't know how old you are but Chuck Noll was considered One of The Greatest coaches if the The Greatest Coach of All Time. And you call this a "comfy situation?" And you're accusing me of making a leap in logic?

I don't know how many different jobs you've had in your life, but succeeding Chuck Noll in the city of Pittsburgh was anything but walking into a "comfy situation." Here's more about Cowher (from Wikipedia):

"Under Cowher, the Steelers showed an immediate improvement from the disappointing 7-9 season the year before, going 11-5 and earning home field advantage in the AFC after the Steelers had missed the playoffs six times out of the previous seven years. In 1995, at age 38, he became the youngest coach to lead his team to a Super Bowl. Cowher is only the second coach in NFL history to lead his team to the playoffs in each of his first six seasons as head coach, joining Pro Football Hall of Fame member Paul Brown."

I know a lot of people on this board think I am a dumbwit, but I don't think I have ever done anything as stupid as dismiss the qualifications of one of the best NFL head coaches we've seen over the last 20 years.
