I don't believe the rumor for a minute but it would be a godsend for the Jets if it happened. Chiefs will have a top 12 pick.
The Chiefs are aging. It's now or never for this team or time to rebuild. I don't believe the rumor, however I think it's plausible given Herm's Chad-love.
Yeah that's how I see it. Draft a guy who could be Clemens backup for 5 seasons and also has a chance to be a starter. That's 4th round. The only problem is you are going to be drafting another 6'2" or shorter QB in that slot or a big guy who is a stiff.
I think Coles ia a great receiver, however he is on the wrong side of 30 and he's had multiple concussions at this point. That points to an early retirement in my opinion.
How about if the trade were to happen we trade down with our pick and work a deal with cinci for cj. cj on one side and jc on the other would be nice.
This one is just plain silly. If someone wanted to float a plausible rumor it would be Coles and Chad for a second. A first AND 2 additional picks is just ludicrous.
You know you're getting old when players names start looking like the food that your aunt cooked when you were a kid.
Please... If anything... Trade Justin McDildo Even if it means we trade him to the Chiefs and they even get our 7th round pick, we dont get thier 7th round for Justin MicDildo but they can take ours just for accepting him
Wow, I guess it was a standard dish. I figured it was just a home recipe from the old country (Pawtucket, RI.)
I strongly doubt this happening; but while this is ongoing, why don't we ship DSlob to them for 2nd next year, and 1st the year after? He cost 2 1st rd picks, so it seems dead even, doesn't it? (just kidding)
What's even more disconcerting is the fact he hasn't really progressed at all since starting. He's still making those boneheaded decisions he's made from Day 1. They don't always result in picks, but he's playing with fire there. The playcalling hasn't opened up either, which makes me think the coaching staff also isn't too thrilled with his decision making. I don't wanna bury this kid after his first few starts either, but he really hasn't shown anything at this point. I think a lot of fans are enamored with his strong arm (especially considering who we previously had at QB), but the fact is strong-armed throwers are a dime a dozen. One's that can actually play QB are hard to find.
Well said The strong-arm of Clemens looks really good right now because we're used to Chad's softer passes. Not only that, but his arm strength certainly isn't elite. It's good but he doesn't have a cannon. He needs to show some signs of smart decision making though. A 4-10 TD/INT ratio is simply not acceptable for a QB with 1.5 years in the league. Kyle Boller as a rookie did better.
I will believe the trade when I see it. I guess it's not impossible. I think I agree with DeathbyJets that the trade value given is too high mostly due to the age of the players.
Great post. Like you're childhood dog....It will be hard to let them go. I believe both Coles and Pennington are true Jets. They've definelty proved it to me anyway.
As much as I love what Coles brings to this team, this trade is an absolute no-brainer if true. I can't see KC being that desperate/dumb though.
