In a re-draft Bridgewater goes in the top 15 easily. Unbelievable, Bridgewater dropped because he's not physically built and wears gloves. Teams are kicking themselves in that decision.

I disagree because the potential costs outweighs the (more likely) benefits.

If Winston declares now he is a 1st round pick most likely, and a 2nd rounder at the very worst.

After Matt Barkley he should know the risks of staying in school. He may regress, which could destroy his draft stock...being further away from his Heisman year AND in a presumably stronger Qb class (cook will be a top pick, most likely. Likely others.)

Even more alarming is risk of injury. Staying a year means playing 12+ more games. Many more chances of taking a bad sack or hurting himself in practice. That risk, IMO, makes it a worse move to stay in school.

Get to the NFL now, hopefully sit for a year and start collecting your paycheck. If you play well, you can earn a lot more. If not, backup Qb is one of the most secure NFL jobs out there. A college injury could ruin all of that.

Finally, he's already achieved everything there is to achieve in college. Heisman and national championship. What else could he want?

Plus, he needs to get over his love of playing baseball. If he's gonna do that he shouldn't be in the NFL at all.

People need to get over the baseball thing. Russell Wilson played minor league ball the year before he was drafted. I think he turned out fine.

My thread got locked last year cause I suggested no matter what we should draft Teddy Bridgewater.

Goes to show the myopia this fanbase has + this organization. There are a lot of stupid people at all levels.

Weird that your thread was shut down by the mods. Ultimately you were exactly right, though I do understand why 31 GMs passed on him.

Yeah, I don't care what people say on this board. Jets missed out on Bridgewater and also Carr. 2 very good prospects and were clear upgrades over Geno Smith.
