and robby is 3rd in the NFL in catches and yards. he's gonna make the pro bowl this year on this pace. right now the only WRs doing better then robby this year are metcalf and hopkins

i'm not convinced that JD does that. I think he just mis-evaluated robby and gase never liked him

Irvin probably mistook tears of happiness for tears of sadness.

robby loved being a jet for some unknown reason. clearly you haven't followed the team much.

yeah i'm glad he's at least getting to showcase his talent and getting paid.

Gase didn’t like his grammar! So he wasn’t his guy.

Agree, I am happy for Robbie, to go somewhere where he is valued and game planned in the offense. For me he was great jet. Some plays that were reason to root for over the yrs as UDFA. Gase is just horrible! He didn’t use Robbie right way, neither bell, I think there is trend there. They were not HIS guys for some reason or another! Horrible.

Robbie not elegant in his words, but he wanted jets to just give him fair value, he would have been jet for life. He wanted to win! But they didn’t come calling. He deserved better! I think it was Gase, or maybe even CJ.

    Let's be honest.

If he was here, we would all be calling him trash. Simply because this team would've made him look worse than he actually Is. I don't think he's a well rounded receiver personally, but, he's much better off on another roster and team. He would only be stunted still being a Jet. He wouldn't look good here and It would ultimately hurt his career. It's a blessing for him to have signed with the Panthers.

I'm happy for him. Even though I wasn't a big fan. Not everyone should be miserable because of the shit show Jets.

Or the Jets should value the few good players they have and actually pay them. We threw almost the same amount at Breshad who has done much less than Robby under better circumstances.

Reminds me of when we tried to replace Jericho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards with old ass Derrick Mason and fresh out of jail Plaxico Burress even though our QB had great chemistry with the formers.

The only thing I wanted was him coming back. The kid proved himself and he was homegrown. He and Darnold had chemistry and you see how it has affected Darnold's whole game. I like Douglas but I didn't like him not resigning this guy. Even a bloated 1 year contract would not have hurt the Jets cap.

Yup. One of the most physically talented Jet Wars of All Time and JD was blind to it.

JD with maybe gase in his ear, that Robbie was not Gases guy. Has not turned out that well not resigning him. We need to change the culture in 1 jets drive. Other players are watching!! If we did to Chebet what we did to Robbie the fan base would be crazy. UDFA makes team, starts, becomes #1 receiver on team, then needs contract, and you don’t do it over a couple million, shameful. Robbie deserved better, and should of never became FA to begin with. Maybe he is not #1 on to other teams, but more or less a #2. Normal teams jump at the chance to retain. We try to bargain basement with perriman, he was still on the market for a reason!

Robbie only cried because he's obviously never been to Charlotte before. By now he's probably dancing his way to and from work. Super nice area / city, nice people, great stadium, and a coach that knows how to use him. He's doing just fine down there. Good for him. They did him a favor.
