LOL! Well, okay! I guess I'll just accept it based on the word of angry left-at-the-altar-types like you - and enjoy my Super Bowl DVDs. What will you be doing besides BRACING YOURSELF for September 9th?
See if you are going to troll another team's fan forum, at least be creative and fun. I for one would welcome you here. The above drivel screams of no imagination and lots of repressed anger. In other words start bringing your A-game when you defend the cheating, lying, homeless, smelly, disheveled, dishonest evil genius that is the HC of NE.
This is a deliberate, PURPOSEFUL statement by BB. He is trying to goad both players into trying to do something spectacular ("I'll show him") rather than just staying within the scheme and doing their assigned jobs. When they break away from their scheme-assignment, he will try to exploit it. Mangini will warn Kerry not to fall into this trap...he knows BB's devious little mind...
Unfortunately no matter how one beat writer wants it so, BB most likely never said this. There is no doubt in my mind if we got a busload of Hookers and Midgets there is no one that would be more fun than BB for a night out on the town.
He was divorced in 2006 and separated from his wife in 2004. He was accused by Vincent Shenocca in July of 2006 in divorce proceedings of having had a relationship with Shenocca's wife "for several years," which was later amended to a formal charge of adultery. Thus, he has certainly been accused of committing adultery, was certainly himself married at the time, and the claim implies that the adultery occurred before he was separated from his wife. I don't claim to know if the charges are true or not (although his buying her lavish gifts for years hardly makes him look good), but your statement that it hasn't been argued that Belichick cheated on his wife is probably not true, and a statement that it hasn't been argued that he cheated with someone else's wife would be patently false. Even if only the latter statement turned out to be true, that would certainly qualify him as an asshole in my book.
This can't be what Belichek said, and how he said it, I just don't believe it. What I believe happened was this: King: "Hey Bill, check out who is on my top 30 list of ALL NFL PLAYERS" Bill: "If I had 12 guys on defense and 12 on offense from the ENTIRE NFL... those guys wouldn't make my team" Meaning - If Belichek is starting 2 safeties, neither is Rhodes. Perhaps he likes Ed Reed and Troy Palamalou. Trust me, I hope Rhodes and Defense take this personnally and smack those new patsy WRs all over the field, however following Belichek (and i could care less how to spell his name) for much of his career, i can't see him taking a personal shot at the best jet player only days before they play.
BB never said anything like that. "From SI (Peter King): Most told me I was loony to have Rhodes ranked in the 20s and Bills tackle Jason Peters in the 30s. I believe Rhodes comes closest to Ed Reed (12), the best impact safety in the game, and I believe Peters, a converted tight end, will be an All-Pro within two years. So I wouldn't move them down even if Bill Belichick called and said, "Neither of those guys could make my team." :hackett: Make that "Cimini Blows".
Lets go on record and state that BB never said anything bad about Rhodes...just to show that us Jet fans can read two sides of a story and make a fair unbiased judgement using facts. With that said, BB is an asshole. It has nothing to do with him leaving the Jets. Nothing. I never wanted him (see..more honesty...how am I doing so far). BB is a great coach. He does have some major character flaws...MAJOR. He is the kind of guy that you would sit next to in a diner and walk away from the counter whispering "wow..what an asshole". I would take an asshole for a coach if he won me superbowls..anyday. See? Not being biased. Lets just say he is one of the great assholes coaching in the NFL today.
