Our defense may have done great without Rhodes, but you HAVE to consider what teams it was against. We played garbage after garbage after garbage team when Rhodes sat out.

I like Smith and think hes got serious potential, but im not gonna pretend that because we had success against awful teams that it had anything to do with Rhodes being benched.

Leonard > Rhodes any day any game. Kerry can take his stats to the desert with him. I will take Jim over Kerry any time any where.

Exactly. The vast majority of Leonhard's missed tackles happened with the cast on.

Bad comparison, stats for the most part, do tell the whole story in baseball. And A-rod is clearly a better player than Jeter, it's not even close.

Whoever is "better" is such a stupid argument. A-Rod is better. Jeter does a lot of things great that don't show up on the stat sheet and is the perfect model Yankee, but A-Rod is a better player.

They may be onto something. Kerry Rhodes is a superior tackling machine.

Edit, for some reason I thought that link said PFT.

Leonard was tackling with basically one arm/hand for a good part of the season, I'm jumping in late on this so I'm sure that has been brought up.

Kerry looks like he is afraid he will break a nail when he tackles

Yeah, well, the data is totally questionable. I just had it pointed out to me on another site about the incorrect stats listed in their cornerbacks page. They have Charles Woodson with 8 passes defended (he had 18) and Revis with 23 PDs (he had 32).

Those (correct) stats can easily be found on a number of other websites, yet these supposed 'stat hounds' got them wrong and it is obviously skewing what weak 'analysis' they provided. What else did they get wrong?

    That site is garbage.

Rex wanted Leonard. Rhodes wanted out! From what I saw, Leonard with one had tackled better then Rhodes. Leonard was all hustle while Rhodes shied away from contact at times.

Why is anyone even giving this site any credit? It's run by ONE dude. His name is Neil Hornsby. Neil Hornsby owns you.

You can make stats look the way you want them to look, did anyone see him get run over in Buffalo this year or the same game when he basically let the RB walk into the endzone. I dont care what the stats I saw several times where he didn't make the tackle or had a poor attempt at it.

I'm not trying to pull a Jturds here, but there's a fucking 'h' in Jim Leonhard's last name.

He's not Brian Leonard or Leonard Peters.

Guys gets e-raped for spelling Shonn Greene's name wrong - this should be no different.

The sad part is when Rhodes wants to play and play hard he can.

I still remember vividly that hit during the Raiders game, he took out 2 games in the same hit and at least one ended up injured.

That's the difference between Rhodes and Leonhard, Leonhard always plays Hard.
