Jim Leonhard was on SNY last night, summed it up perfectly--he said both guys had their best game of the year the way it waas Sunday, so why change it in a short week? Stick with what just worked.
In terms of value to any 1 teams defense I think it is true. The value of being able to just put 1 man on any teams top receiver frees up a lot for the other players. Many of these games would've played out much differently if we constantly had to roll coverage over to help a inferior CB.
Troy Polamalu is more valuable to a team than Revis, that is true. Troy Polamalu has only played in less than half the Steelers' games this season. So cut that value in half. Revis. EDIT: I should have added "this season." to the above contested statement, but since we're talking about the 2009 award, I thought that went without saying.
