putting revis on the outside is great and all. But the very best coaches make the great in-game adjustments. Anyone could see after a few of those boldin jump balls revis should have been on him permanently after that.

not to mention the third down blitzing leaves those 1-1 coverages which flacco took total advantage of. You drop everyone back in coverage and maybe some of those catches dont get completed. Ravens also did a good job sliding protections and pickin up those blitzes.
I think i saw us drop three down lineman once the entire game when they threw the ball. I believe that was the cro interception. I could be wrong

Anyone see the footage of the offense? were recievers getting 1 on 1s? or was sanchez automatically checking it down?? cant see with the broadcast footage.

Rex is not going to throw Shittenheimer under the bus publicly. Anybody who thinks he will or expects him to is only kidding themselves. This has not been a 1 game problem here.. it's going on 4 years now that he's been holding this offense back.

Says a lot of his passes were check downs, says WR's were covered. Sure they were Mark.

That's a decent angle if Rex did indeed order Schotty and Sanchez to be that conservative.

In that case, this is the first time I'm pissed at Rex.

Sanchez told Slauson he has an "awesome Game" and got beat once by an awesome play in Ngata... repeats... Slauson had an AWESOME game.

For some reason, I don't believe that at all.

    My thoughts and guesses:

Rex was the one who made the offense so conservative. Sanchez was checking down, so again, why blame Schotty? If Sanchez is right, the WR's and Keller weren't open... Schotty's fault? I saw a QB who was afraid to throw downfield unless the reciever was WIDE fuckin open, and at that, he got the happy feet thing goin.

I'm really tired of the clueless morons here, and in the media ripping Slauson a new asshole. The kid has been OK. I think that play where Ngata owned him is partially on Mangold. He reads the D, he calls the blocking assignments, and he blocked NO ONE on that play. Ngata is like Jenks... he needs to be doubled. He IS that good.

No one says squat about how Suggs beat Ferg and Woody, not to mention the 3 off sides penealties they got. Did Slauson draw a flag? NOOOOOO. Not for jumping, not for holding. Git off this kid's ass.

Holy shit does he ever. Standing one step away from a guy at the snap does not count as press coverage. Every time they showed an iso shot of Cro in coverage he would bail out into coverage without even attempting to jam the WR at the line. Probably the thing that pissed me off the most during the game last night.

Interesting to see how Revis' hold out did actually wind up hurting the team.

He did play well minus the sack. I didn't see a difference from him and Faneca last year.

How so? Rex changing what made the defense so successful last year is on him. I thought the whole point of getting Cro and Wilson was so that he wouldn't need to worry about getting beat by the #2 and #3 WR's while Revis did his thing.

He has no excuse for not letting Revis shadow Boldin. Cro and Wilson played on the outside the entire preseason.

I heard the interview... and it sounds to me like Rex believed if the Ravens could not win the turn over battle, the O, no matter how conservative, would score enough to win the game.

It might be a good time to remember this. Ryan, like Sanchez is also in his second year, and he will make mistakes too. I think he made some mistakes last night. I think he is smart enough to avoid repeating those mistakes next week, but then of course, we will be whining about INT's and how Schotty is putting too much pressure on Sanchez. SOJets fans.

Your guess is as good, and as bad as mine.

We as fans simply have no clue as to what the HC says to his OD and OC. We can only guess. Let's see if the O opens up next week. Scotty is the easy target. That means it isn't Sanchez's fault, or Rex's fault. That is a more comfortable place to be for fans that have no clue as to what is actaully going on. Fans like you.

Rex kept Schotty on board, with Callahan in the wings. I'll trust Rex's opinion. You can have your own, in a vacuum of guesswork. You obviosly know more than Rex.

Those are the facts, deal with them.
