that's what i've been thinking too. the Jets went from 10 on 10 football with Revis removing a target to 8 on 8 football in one off season. its scary.
+1. Thats Rex' Defensive philosophy. You can have a good pass rush, but if WRs aren't covered well enough, quick slants can kill u. Sorry to see Wes Welker would be out for the season, but glad that at least we wouldn't have to get killed by him every time he steps on the football field. Jets pass rush isn't terrible at all. We bring in a pass rusher and who do we replace? We currently have Pace, Scott, Harris and Thomas/JT as our starting LBs. Having Thomas and JT sharing a starting spot being our weakest link is actually pretty decent. Could we have waited out on a CB until later rounds? Yes, but remember, Rex' philosophy is having a bunch of great cover corners. Last year, we saw how Manning picked us apart. This year, we are ready for him. Same pass rush, but an upgraded defensive backfield thats suits this D perfectly.
