Rex hates the right team

Discussion in 'New York Jets' started by sec314, Aug 4, 2010.

  1. The 1986 51-45 OT win over Miami was particularly memorable. It is still one of my favorite Jets games of all-time. A Kenny O'/Marino shootout, major momentum swings...just a great game.

We did score a TD on offense once in that game...

I don't feel that way at all. First of all one has nothing to do with the other, meaning it's not like the Jets made the playoffs BECAUSE they lost two to Miami.

Year in year out the head to head performance of these two teams has a meaning independent of whatever else, good or bad, happens. I thought all Jet fans knew this.

    I hate F'ing Miami.

On behalf of all miami dolphin fan's we would like to thank you for all your compliments.. especially from your head coach....

We know deep down that you respect how our team is being built, and the toughness for which we play with.... we have one of the youngest starting lineups in the NFL, so I will continue to look forward to, and enjoy all of the kind words in the future.

Last year was no fluke...both games you were beaten..

Make sure your Hiding Rock has been swept and mopped, you're going to need it after your team gets their asses kicked this year and you have to do your patented Dolphin Fan Disappearing Act.

Have to admit you guys woke me up last year, I may not like your team and I'm sure I can detect some troll coming from you soon but yes I respect the Phins. They are not going to be easy to beat but let's be honest, game 1 you kicked our ass but game 2 we pissed it away. Your entitled to think otherwise but all that mattered is that you beat us twice but we were 1/2 of football away from the SB. If winning the SB bowl means getting swept by you guys so be it.

Again, I know of no rule or circumstance that says losing to the fish is necesary or even helps the Jets' chances of winning an SB. Winning the SB cannot possibly MEAN GETTING SWEPT by the fish. that's crazy talk.

The first miami game was no fluke. That was the defense not prepared. The second game a fluke, Bills, Falcons, flukes too.

Shouldn't you be monitoring your own team's website and crying in your beer with all your kind, already bitching how guys are hurt? I mean, your 4th round pick is not gonna be there opening week, you know, the guy that was drafted to be a special teams force. Cue the violins, the fins have injuries. Their second favorite excuse after bad calls...

last season the dolphins won both games fair and square.

I have always said, if the refs dont screw you, or if theres not a clock malfunction, or something like that, then theres no excuses.

now how many times will a team have 3 non offensive td's in one game? not many.

I think we sweep the dolphins this season.

I will be there week 3, and it will probaly be a battle.

So are you saying it's more important to beat Miami then it is win the SB? If the football Gods told me that we woudln't win a game against Miami for the next 4 years but would win 3 SBs in that time frame sign my ass up.

maybe ... maybe not a fluke

but i think we can agree on which one of your 9 wins was that helped you into the playoffs

haha i kid, i kid so take it easy!

I am looking forward to a great season. I think we are capable of 10 wins or so, while you guys are probably in the 10-12 range

no way the dolphins win 10 games this season.

here are some teams the dolphins play, whom i think are better.

ravens, patriots, steelers, bengals, packers, vikings, titans, and of course us.

we will see, we will see. we did lose close ones to the titans and steelers last year and i certainly think we are a much improved team compared to last year.

but we will find out when the real bullets start flyin (not just the ones from Henne's arm) haha

I think the Dolphins are better than the Pats, Bengals, and Titans. Mostly because I think the Pats are washed up,the Bengals are overrated, and I don't trust any QB that's better at running it than throwing it. If the Vikings are starting Tarvaris Jackson you might not be saying that they're better than anybody, either.

Jets could have been out of the playoffs if the colts played, jets could have been eliminated twice if historically good Fg kicked didn't have the worst consecutive miss drought in NFL history. Let's stop with the would've and should'ves.

I have three favorite sporting events every year.

    1. UK vs UL College basketball. I'm a UL alum surrounded by UK fans.

    2-3 jets vs dolphins.

These are the only three sporting events that can literally make me want to vomit if they go the wrong way.

I should say, the UK vs UL game last year was as physical as both the jets/fins games. I think there were 3 technicals and 5 or 6 fouls in the first 30 seconds. God bless calipari and pitino.

You could have put together a semi coherent post. You could have taken the car instead of the short bus, doubtful but possible. You could have been in the zoo eating your own feces...

    Wow I like this game.
