Lee Evans is better than just average, the man is Elite...But you know what? Revis is the better talent and he shows it with each and every game played as the Jets #1 starting CB. Revis may not be "Shut down", that term died when Sanders left the game but I think it's safe to say that Revis is as close to a Lock Down Corner if I've ever seen one.
If I had to take one of those WRs for my team, I'm taking Calvin Johnson and I don't even have to think about it. That's not what this was about, though. All I was trying to get across was that Breaston had played better through Week 8 than had Johnson.
I'm amazed that I had all that shit directed at me for stating an opinion about two football players. To agree or disagree on my Breaston and Johnson comments is one thing. It's another thing for someone to post the type of crap JetsLookingforDWare has posted here. I could understand it if this thread was in the Trashtalking forum, but it is not.
Revis is having a sick year. He's the closest thing I've seen to a shut down corner in the NFL this season.
and guess who won today god everyday I love Revis more and more he takes so few penalties but always seems to come up with big plays late
I'd hate to jump to conclusions but he is having a pro bowl season. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see him and Jenkins representing the Jets in the PB.
...I don't necessarily see Breaston ranked that high either, but you can't knock him for being the best wideout on the Cardinals. He plays behind two of the best receivers in the game, and is still putting up good numbers. Calvin Johnson is an amazing player, but look who he's playing next to know: Shaun McDonald and Mike Furrey. Who would you rather throw to out of these three? Kurt Warner looks for Boldin and Fitzgerald first, just like Orlovsky looks for CJ first. You can't knock a guy like Breaston for backing Fitz and Boldin up. That's where you went wrong here. Breaston filled in nicely for Boldin, and he should get a big contract when he becomes a free agent. Cakes didn't put Breaston on the "same tier" as Steve Smith. He's ranking these guys by their PRODUCTION this season. Steve Smith wasn't around early on, was he?
Revis has been a stud each and every week. And he is definitely not a small corner. He's one of the biggest I think we've ever had.
I can't believe this is still going: Say it with me now...: Steve Breaston *did not* outproduce either guy through the first 8 weeks. I've put up their stats...you guys just keep saying what he said is defensible...but there hasn't been ONE defense put up. Why is it so hard to admit being wrong?
