He has always come off as a jerk, we are Jets fans though. He had the slouch comment on Moss, the jerk comment on Bill. I mean he says what he believes, he just is the best at as position so people can't bash what he says based on his play. By people I mean the very influential 4 letter entertainment/sports news (in that order) company.
Too early to call Chaz a bust I think. I didn't understand this signing from the get go. The dude has amazing spec..6-4, runs 4.3 in the 40. But never was healthy. What the hell was Tannen-bum thinking?
We should have signed Bray....... nevermind. I can understand what Revis is saying, but I guess the front office wanted to give an opportunity to some of the young players to see if they could take the next step. So far McKnight played well against cincy but struggled against the Giants. Powell hasnt done anything. Both Hill and Turner have been solid.
Another Sanchez sob story? Take these LOL I want touchdowns, first downs, big plays not excuses I'm SICK of the excuses.
His TD numbers were solid. His 24 turnovers are unacceptable. Hopefully with better protection, a running game, a WR who can spread the field (Hill), which will in turn make Holmes better, he can drastically cut back on those. Also, he HAS to improve his completion %.
Completion % is one area where Sanchez has to get better. He had a lot of drops last year but thats not really an excuse. He needs to be more consistent on his short throws. He always seems to throw them at the receivers knees which they either miss or catch and have to slow down or stop. He needs to get better at receiving receivers and hitting them in a good spot. If he can do that his completion % will go up.
I agree about completion percentage, but that's one thing that's been decent in the preseason. If he raises that while cutting back turnovers it will make a world of difference and everything else will fall into place. Of course a bunch of that has to do with the line as well and Stephen Hill.
So here's the thing about Sanchez completion percentage: how does he ever get on a roll there when he has to face the Jet's D in practice all week? The Jets D has been in the top 4 in opposing completion pct all 3 years Sanchez has been with the team. They don't let people complete passes much, not anybody. This year Sanchez has a 52.2 completion percentage in camp to date. That about mirrors the completion percentage that the Jets D has allowed to ALL QB's over the last 3 seasons. I don't think practicing against Rex's defense is particularly good for developing a QB. The Ravens had all sorts of trouble doing that before they got Flacco. Even Flacco pretty much mirrored the Ravens (much higher but still tough) completion percentage allowed until his 4th year last year. I guess you could argue that it helps Sanchez to practice against the best, but I bet he's not feeling that way this year with his job in trouble and only completing a bit more than 50% of his passes in camp. Everybody is saying that he has to become more accurate, but they're mainly basing that on how he does against Revis and company where NOBODY is particularly accurate.
Darelle's being kind when he says he's 'not sure'. I think almost everyone IS sure the Jets haven't done enough to get a team around Sanchez. Who in the league has worse skill players currently, other than the Cleveland Browns?
The Cleveland Browns have Trent Richardson now. I don't think any team in the league has definitely worse skill players than the Jets.
Yeah, but it's one thing for a few knuckleheads on a message board to talk about the seemingly worst skilll players in the league.... It's an entirely different matter when your teammates (plural) continuously comment about how they think your the worst skill players. It's not a stretch to say this (and, this alone) is the primary cancer in the clubhouse. A gaggle of geese..... who don't gaggle very well (and, that's putting it kind). This is the worst TEAM i have ever seen. The worst skill players- yes. And, Revis, Cromartie, and Sanchez don't know how right they are. Don't realize that they themselves are the worst that they speak of. Skill players? Yep. And, the worst of 'em.
and this is the guy who practices and sees our offense daily. We are screwed if Holmes doesnt have another threat to help on offense.
It's funny when people who don't know that cornerback is a skill position go blabbing on and on about skill positions. Big Blocker does it all the time.
