Fan base really down on Revis and rightly so, he has played poorly for the last year and a half. He has always been a really smart player who always prepared. Can make the transition to safety, yes. Does he want to, I don't see it

Revis thinks the Jets owe him the world and more. Annoying entitled attitude. Cut him this offseason

    Wh-a-a-a-a-t????

This looks like a quote from the Onion.

Somebody tell me he didn't really say that.

Many top CBs have had a great second career as a safety. Rod Woodson, Charles Woodson, Champ Bailey to name a few. Our safeties struggle in coverage, so I think its a perfect fit. Can Revis cover top WRs anymore in man coverage? No. But I think knowing how much of a pro he is in studying tape and investing himself in technique, I think he'd be a very good safety. Obviously, his cap number is way too high for a safety, so that number would have to be adjusted.

    Revis. Does. Not. Tackle.

Keeping him on the team sends the absolute wrong message.

Huh? Since when? Revis has always been very good in run support and tackling.

He used to be one of the best tackling CBs in the league, but the effort on the field has declined, he doesn't care. You don't want Revis as the last line of defense.

Jets need to move on from Revis for good. Maybe in 20 years, the Jets should think about putting him in the ROH.

Maybe Revi$ should have thought about that when he gave up on the season slightly after the opening kickoff against the Bengals. He wants to be treated with class yet didn't have the class himself to put forth any effort this season. Just STFU already.

As far as the Ring of Honor, he's lucky that Woody Johnson will be the one making that decision. I'd flat out tell him the moment I cut him on the first minute of the new league year in March that the only way he'd be inducted into it would be over my dead body.

If you want to criticize Revis' coverage skills, fine. He has gotten older and slower. Revis is still a great tackler and a good football player. We're used to seeing Revis as a transformative player who was completely dominant. He's not that player anymore but that doesn't mean there isn't anything left.

Have you watched any Jet games this year? Just wondering. Cause this specific part of your argument makes me think "no"

I think Kacy Rodgers hacked your account.

Every game and I went to two. I'm wondering the same about you. I also played football for a very long time and know what I see and don't see. Thanks for reminding me why I stopped going to this message board.

A little bit of reality was shoved in your face about your favorite player and now you want to blame it on a message board?

So perhaps give me some insight on this play? What would you consider this? A business decision? Let's talk about age. Terrance Newman is 38 playing for the Vikings and has had an excellent season, probably an all-pro one. Don't give me this crap on being older and slower. Father time maybe undefeated, but FT will never take away ones effort.

I'm pretty sure no matter what you can't have a safety that's afraid of contact. See ya.

You're looking at this all wrong. Mac and Woody's rebuilding plan depends on having 3 top 6 picks in 4 years.

Bye Bye Lard Ass. Could deal with your selfish attitude when you played like an all time great. But you were compensated for that. You stink now, it is you who should show class and discount your salary to the Jets, so that they can get good players around you (like Tom Brady and others have done).
Instead, you still expect to be paid top dollar based on the past.
Dont let the door hit you on the way out. No need to keep your selfish overpaid non productive game here.

I hope the six people in attendance at MetLife on Sunday boo Revi$ every time the defense takes the field.

If we don't cut this clown, we're in deep trouble. Especially after his latest comments.

Marshall, Wilk, Revis, Marshall, Sheldon, Pryor now have all made ridiculous comments and are not colluded. Those are supposed to be 6 of your top 10 football players, and are paid accordingly. They need to get rid of the majority of them and the locker room culture should correct itself.

If I'm Todd Bowles I walk into the locker room on Sunday before the game and say what the FUCK is wrong with all of you? Can't you keep your mouths shut for one more week?

    Bunch of children.

I'd be real "classy" and cut Revi$ Sunday morning.
