i sit here wanting to say he is the best jets player i have ever seen. klecko and gastineau were great, martin was phenomenal, there are probably a few others that i am forgetting but this guy was the best of the best for a period of time, he was as good as any corner i had seen and was far better as a run stopper than the few guys who may have been better cover corners. i started watching around 83 or so, so i cant say anything about the guys in the late 60s or 70s but he was the cream of hte crop in the years i have watched.

ps.... now the shoe is on the other foot, i have no problem and never had a problem with him getting whatever amount of money he could, these fucking bastards running the nfl chew up and spit out so many guys every year and nobody cares, but then they freak out when the player has some leverage and wants to get paid what he is worth.

Great news, he was terrible last year and should have been benched. He was a great player but frankly a me 1st person that didn't give a shit about anyone but himself. Remember #24 it's just business....

I say that God we have someone who has the balls to cut these over the hill, overpriced vets....

He was by far and away the very best Jets player I have ever seen and the best CB in he history of the league. He's a first ballot HOFer. He'll also be a Patsy about two seconds after his release.

The Jets are on the hook for $6M regardless that he's been released. The real kicker here will be when Belichick picks him up again like you say and pays him $1m and the Jets pitch in $5M while he wears a Pats uniform. Belichick will do that just for laughs.
