And I forgot Addai! He had more receptions than Garcon this year. 51 for Addai and 47 for Garcon.

Im looking at Garcons stats...6th round pick from Mount Union. He is only 6 feet tall? After watching him yesterday I thought he was like 6-3 or 6-4. He was like a Giant out there.

Manning..what can you say. I cant believe Garcon is only 6 feet even.

I think this all depends on where cloning technology is now and just how the Peyton replicates, develop through potential defects.

Maybe they could fill those one or two adverts Manning doesn't appear on?

LOL the problem is, for the most part, is that every QB that we played avoided Revis already and still couldn't do shit on us.

Trust me...the Patriots are ahead of us already...they sent a fan down here that goes by the name of Tony...and through Jet technology..it has been proven, almost without a doubt, that he is carrying woman reproductive organs.

They are way past the cloning thing. Maybe Joejet needs the money?

if jenks comes back healthy this will not be an issue.jenks opens up the middle of the line for the lb's to blitz.this allows the safeties to play more coverage.pouha wasn't as good in the pass rush to get a guard to kick over to him.if anyone remebers harris got home a few times on the inside delay blitz whe jenkins was in.

QBs were avoiding Revis in the preseason. Although, I do believe that teams are now going to heavily try to diagnose this defense. I'm not worried though because unlike the Giants who lost their defense with Spagnoulo our defense lies in the experienced hands of Ryan and Pettine.

I agree making the DL better will make the whole secondary look better. Peyton Manning can complete a pass against any corner if he has enough time. Hopefully we can pick a DE or DT up in draft to go along with getting a healthy Jenkins back.

This thread is rediculous! So in the NFL its bad to have a shutdown corner?

The problem yesterday was number 18 in blue.

Excellent analysis and definitely 100% likely.

We need to upgrade the secondary bigtime.

I am hoping that we can get quality "D" personnel on the cheap because (1) they see the Jets as a likely SB contender and (2) financial opportunities in NY.

Take a cheap contract for 1 year, then make the big money in 2011 when a new CBA is worked out.

It's the lack of pass rush not the depth at corners that needs to be addressed.

Taking away the opponent's top receiver in every game is the primary goal. Revis will do that. Rex will figure out the rest with some changed personnel.

Teams started doing that this year. Why do you think Revis' numbers against top WRs were so good? He wasn't getting thrown at 10 times per game...it was like 4 to 6. Teams were looking to slot receivers and TEs all year and we still got where we got.

If there's a pass rush, we can get away with crappier corners, nickel/dimebacks, and safeties. We need an upgrade at CB2 and maybe a pass rusher at DE. Revis will be Revis, and the other players on D have to do their part.

This is a horrible thread, being a shutdown corner means taking away a reciever (usually their best) in man coverage or a side of the field in zone coverage..

im sure this thread has already been knocked down but unless manning's blueprint involves him being the qb for every team we play next year your thread sucks.

Not every team has Peyton Manning, and not every team has 5 legit options which Peyton makes better.

QB's by nature are competitive and must be confident, every single one will want to "take down" Revis.

It's not like teams haven't tried this all year anyway, we just did a better job defending it.

The only thing that was exposed is that Peyton is freakin good.

exactly!.. like enough is enough.. people are REALLY underrating what peyton manning is capable of... Just because the best quarterback in the league had success on us.. I don't think that EVERY team will be exploiting us..

Besides Manning being the most accurate quarterback in the NFL, is the time his offensive lineman give him. It is really hard to cover a WR for a really long time. A lot of the Jets blitzes were picked up which left all the cornerbacks on an island. On the last touchdown to Dallas Clark (here is the reason why I don't think he is so specatcular) is because Manning got him wide open, with the play action fake to the RB which froze James Ihedigbo, and all he had to do was catch it.
