All this complaining about talk doesn't mean crap if the Jets can't beat the Pats. If you win, you have the right to say what you want. yeah, if you show yourself to be a classless douchebag, everyone can take notice of that and, if you so chose, complain about it. But I'd much rather see the Jets take that and beat them than to complain about what anyone on the Pats says. Including Psycho Bill.
fickle are we? a majority on this board were calling revis a jerk just this past month over his contract. who cares what revis thinks? he can call every opponent under the sun a jerk, but it doesn't mean squat. hell most fans and teams think the jets are the jerks, go figure! the way to shut belichick up is to beat the pats, which the jets didn't do last season. there was a lot of talk about beating the pats but thats all it ended up being, all talk!
So... Cromartie says in an interview, on the record, that Brady is an asshole. Plain and simple, no hiding it. I respect his conviction, mind you. Speak your mind, they're just words, and no one ever died or got physically hurt by being called names. And respect is mostly fabricated and usually overrated anyway. Then roughly a year later, Belichick says to his son, on the sideline, after beating the Jets, in a conversation allegedly overhead by ONE reporter, "(30-whatever) points on the league's top defense? Suck my dick." Not on the record. Not to a reporter. Something said in celebration. That's what Revis is crying about? Really? The best CB in the league, and one of the best I've ever seen, has such thin skin? Holy double standard! Revis also mentions Brady "pointing" at the Jets' sideline after a TD. Wasn't that the same season that Braylon Edwards did the Dougie in Darius Butler's face? Actually drew a taunting penalty for it. Look, I call 'em like I see 'em, even when it's not favorable for the Patriots. But in this case, Revis is being a bitch. If he can't take what his team regularly dishes out, then he should ask to be traded, or ask everyone else on his team to shut up and just play football.
^dude please, the media BLOWS everything up. We don't fucking like you, you don't fucking like us. It's simple, go fuck yourself.
First of all, that comment by Belichick was not made to any Jets player. It was something he said to his son that a camera picked up. If you think that Jets players, or players on any team for that matter, dont say shit like that in their own personal time about other teams and players in this league then you are a fool. It would be different had he said it in a press conference or to Rex as they shook hands, but that is not what happened. He said it to his own people. And second, Revis has called out Moss and even Belichick most recently. His teammates have done the same on a regular basis. Revis isn't pissed because of what BB said, he's pissed because he lost and they talked smack, and there's nothing he can do about it. Poor Revis cant deal with the fact that some other team kicked his ass, and put up 37 on their "best defense." His feelings are hurt. What a pussy. Take it like a man and go beat them, dont cry to news reporters that you were disrespected.
It takes 2 to tango. That's the bottom line. Neither side is innocent. Personally I love it. These teams hate each other. It seems to get worse & worse every year. It most definitely fuels both organizations too. From the Jets perspective..sure we're still chasing the Patriots 10 years later. But there have been some good blows to the beast. And it's nice to see these Jets players finally speaking up for the organization. To Truly embrace being Jets. It's a far cry from Herm & Mangini's Jets who never seemed to take the Pats smugness head on.Rex is right on. Sure the Patriots are first class. Brady is all time & so is Bill. But that doesn't mean the Jets should back down.Or "Kiss their rings"
The Jets only brought it on themselves with the self proclamations. If I was a smug sarcastic fuck like Belli (oh wait I am) it would be prime time to say something after you go 45-3 on the best D. Just saying.
Good post. All this does is make it even more exciting to watch these two teams go at it this season. I love it when Jets players trash the Pats, why wouldn't I? Pats fans love to hear the Jets get trashed too - nothing new there. If the players and coaches didn't do their part to fuel the rivalry it wouldn't be this much fun. The fact that the players embrace the rivalry as much as the fans do is awesome. So to sum up what I'm trying to say here... Fuck Bellicheat, Fuck Brady, and FUCK the Patriots! :breakdance:
Yeah, like the Jets world doesn't already revolve around the Pats. Revis joins the NY Jets fine whine society. The Jets spend all their time thinking about the Pats and forget the ultimate goal is to win a championship.
Maybe he shouldn't of told players on our team to suck his dick, fuck Belicheat and Brady We need to come out angry and aggressive against these guys, Jets let their guard down for sure after beating the Patriots in the playoffs from a psychology standpoint. The Patriots gave us a good licking and now we have to respond. And we will
To me, whatever we got our ass kicked, our heads were so far up our asses, I couldn't tell you what the fuck was going on with our team. We couldn't do anything right - and the fact that we got swept was even worse. Regardless were coming back this season, and with a more fundamental sound OC, and a strong defense we'll face the Patriots and respond to what happened last season with some wins. One thing I learned about this Rex Ryan era, if the Jets are together / motivated and pissed the fuck off - they will come full force to knock you the fuck out
I consider saying things in the media to be basically saying it to people/players indirectly. When you do that, you know the other person is going to hear about it, and you are likely even doing it intentionally for them to hear it. When you say something privately to someone, you are not intending for anyone else to hear. That is the difference. Rex, BB, and every other coach and player in this league say shit about other teams. Hell we do it in our personal lives as well. This just happened to get picked up by a microphone.
Moss is a slouch and Belichick is a jerk. Bolded part can go fuck itself, too. Revis said "That's just ignorant. Why go there? You won fair and square. We shook your hand after the game. We'll see you in New England or wherever in the playoffs. That's OK." Does that sound like a pussy to you? Revis never backs from contact and exhibits more fortitude than anyone on the Bills. "God why did you let me drop that ball," lol wut You think all Jets players do is talk shit. Show me something besides Belichick is a jerk, Brady is an asshole, and Moss is a slouch. The media brainwashing has definitely won in your case. You're just a drone. ESPN asked Revis what he thought of Belichick and a month later the reporters asked if he meant what he said. He didnt "cry to reporters," he explained that he thought telling a team to suck his dick was disrespectful. Rex Ryan is never disrespectful, except unintentionally to Norv Turner, when he was explaining that the Chargers have had talent for a long time. Unless, of course, you feel that him being confident is disrespectful. If Chan Gailey doesn't wake up every day believing he will win the Super Bowl, then he has already failed.
When Belichick said "37 Points On The Best Defense In The League, Suck My Dick”, I'm honestly not even sure that was meant as a "Fuck you" to the NYJ. The media had spent the previous two weeks berating Belichick for losses to the Steelers and Giants, saying that he had "lost his touch" and that the Patriots could no longer compete with elite teams in the NFL. They went through the whole "The Dynasty is OVER" thing for the thousandth time, and predicted that the Pats would be one-and-done in the playoffs once again. I think it is just as plausible that his comment was meant as a FU to the media, as it is that he was trying to insult the Jets. From what I can tell, there weren't even any Jets players within earshot to hear it. They didn't even know about it until the media decided to report comments that he had made in private conversation. In either case, I can't bring myself to care much about what Belichick said, what Revis said, or anything in this story whatsoever.
That makes more sense, your original statement didn't explain that. Although I'm sure Bill is aware where every microphone and camera are located... And I said my terrible joke for the day.
