Say what you will about Flacco. We might Learn a thing or two about what is going on with this team Sunday. If Sunday Flacco starts swinging the ball down field and catches are made, opening up the running game, I’m going to assume that either Gase has no confidence in Sam’s ability to throw the ball deep, Sam is not on the same page with the WRs, which kind of surprises me since last year we were connecting with Anderson on similar fashion, or Gase just does not know how to give a young QB some opportunites to take a risk with a shot down field to open things up. If we see more of the same dunk and short pass BS for a strong arm QB like Flacco then I’m going to assume that the game plan is the usual Gase ineffective scheme, not tailored to anyone one strengths, a plan that did not work in Miami nor here.
Nah he's OK size wise. He's a little small for a true 3-4, but we play more of a hybrid deal and have a lot of hogs up front (not that it's done any good this year). Maybe he can be a good player. He looked OK last year. I think you'd be better out there, KOB, than Alec Ogletree. I know you British guys are usually a little undersized but scrappy.
In past years you would say so, but the hybridization of most defenses combined with the heavy dose of nickel and increased coverage responsibilities that LB's have has caused an overall decrease in prototype size at the position.
Think you’re right and I have a funny feeling Flacco will out play Darnold. Darnold ain’t a drop back passer that Flacco is and Manning was. System is built for them. Regarding injuries: -Mekhi Becton -Denzel Mims -Patrick Onwuasor -Jabari Zuniga -Blake Cashman all need to come back ASAP, and when they do, be given any/all reps/touches. All are very young and in Onwuasor’s case, on expiring deals and may be part of the solution. Although I have a funny feeling Onwuasor ain’t no good. Mindset going forward should be “cash out/trade assets” and force feed/develop/find out when we have in young(er) guys.
Good point! That’s what we have gun smuggling enthusiast and soon to be bust Quinnen “don’t call me Leonard” Williams for.
I wouldn't get onto the pitch, I am not genetically modified and I am only 5ft 7" if I had a position it would have been RB though, I could bob and weave and was explosive over 20-30 yards, strong as well lol Ogletree has been a huge drop-off in skill or desire? He was a decent player 3,4 seasons back. I only ask as he seems very prone to injury and I thought when we looked at him somebody had mentioned he was on the small size.
I thought the same thing-him being good. But just looked it up, and he’s 29, so maybe wear and tear? But as the saying goes, if he was/is that good, he wouldn’t have been available. Nor would he be on this team for that matter
Does anyone know the status of Bryce Hall? I figured he was going to get the Blessuan Austin treatment because of his injury history, but I didnt think there would be radio silence on him. If he can play then he should be out there.
