That's the best "We're getting the band back together!" photo I think I've ever seen.

Mac couldn't be on a tear with all these signings and then force GSmith on the rest of the team They be happy now..

We have our best shot assembled now for 2016 and the players know it...time to win some games!! Avenge those Buffalo losses Fitz!!

Well, this thread has been fun, guys.

See you in a couple years when we spend 5000 more posts debating the next mediocre Jets QB.

Tell me why our Vegas odds are relevant? I'll wait.

I'm just bustin your nuggets
You seem like a good poster, but you're really overreacting to this deal.

If Geno has turned a new leaf, he'll win the job this training camp.
but short of that hail mary happening, we'll now have an alternative option and some continuity until someone else steps up.

Fair enough bro and I apologize for the comment before...I'll admit I overreacted for sure....Other things going on outside of the Jets world, but I hit the gym before just to snap out of it haha

And agreed, lets hope for the best no matter what

Dude do you expect anyone to take you serious with that nonsense? Fitz didn't beat Brady. The Jets beat the Pats.

I'm not reading back through 5000 messages here but I'm sure there a few guys who swore they were done with the Jets if Fitzpatrick signed. Will these guys have the balls to come back to say goodbye or at least meekly tell us they changed their minds?

    LOL

Hey nothing is relevant...Just like Fitz was an afterthought to lots of posters here

Let me ask you this. Suppose you were really lucky and owned a Casino or Sportsbook with all the suckers throwing and losing money with you each day/weekend betting on all types of sporting events

Don't you think you would research all the the Teams potential so you lay the odds right. For example would you give The Green Bay Packers and A Rogers 100 to 1 to win aSB ???? About a million people would take THAT bet and if GB repeated you would lose your business!!! Actually the Packers are something like 10:1

BTW are you in 6th grade?

Just checked odds. We went from 60-1 to 40-1 hahah

    No Way.
Geno could look like Tom Brady out there and they would not give him the starting job out of the gate, just not going to happen.
Mac did not give Fitz 12 million to be in an open QB competition. I wish they would truly see what Geno has and give him a shot because I honestly think he would out play Fitz - but that is not going to happen unless Fitz get injured or looks like dog shit for 1/2 the season - both a possibility.

Pats, led by Tom Brady and needing to win the game to get home field advantage through the 2015 playoffs, lost to the Jets led by Fitz.

    hows that?

They also lost to Miami too, so dont read too much into that. That game never shoulda went to OT. It shoulda been a wash. The defense did what they had to most the game.

No, I'm in 7th grade. It's relevant to those that are betting. But not to the success of the team really. Our Vegas odds haven't mattered since 1967.

I'm aware the how Vegas odds work. Let me ask you this? Do you feel more enticed to bet on the Jets now?

Why? People forget that the Jets won 10 games last year and just right it off to a weak schedule instead of looking at the players we have and the production they put up. We have a top flight offense IMO, a weak, but better O-Line than last year that got the job done for the most part. We're bringing back a QB who has played well historically in the system he is coming back to. A Hall of Famer in Brandon Marshall who had a monster season for us last year who always makes mediocre QB's look better. Decker killed it in the slot last year and is no slouch himself. Very underrated receiver throughout the league, he's not a product of Peyton Manning like some people were saying when the Jets signed him. He played well on the outside for us in his first year with an awful offense and great on the inside for us last year with a talented offense.

Forte is a wildcard, you can't just write him off as done yet, he's 30 and has some mileage under him but the production has been there. Him and Powell (who flourished last year with Gailey and Fitz) should make for a real nice combo. Enunwa started to put it together late last season, Amaro could have something to offer this offense as a matchup problem.

The defense is really good on paper. I don't care who is lining up against them, the D is good, the D-Line is amazing, Lee and Jenkins finally give us some youth at LB, along with Mauldin. Calvin Pryor played really well under Bowles last year, clear enforcer over the middle, Gilchrist is a quality FS, the only spot I worry about is the CB's other than Revis. One or two guys need to step up to solidify our D.

My point is, on paper, the Jets are talented. Don't just look at the opponents and write the Jets off.

Yes office pool, place a bet, ...not the house mind you lol. $110 bucks gets you 40 times that if the Jets win a SB

wonder what odds look like for just making the Playoffs...seems a safer bet

I feel very good today...my faith in Mac restored.

You are right success and the betting line are just probabilities but like I said the Bookies do their research. So in that sense we are in the best position to win now with the Fitz signing as opposed to GeNo
