obviously you are wrong, and have been wrong, but refuse to admit it still.
Hoyer didn't get signed to start anywhere, and won't be starting anywhere. very different situation.

It doesn't make it disappear from future years caps. But its get spread out, sometimes over the span of four years. And we could be talking about a couple million dollars total spread out over a period of time. You can't just pretend that we would have had $12 million in one lump sum to spend in a random off season. That's not the real world.

for starters you are wrong in your comparison of Fitz to Hoyer..
secondly, you are wrong about Geno Smith, and the Jets just confirmed that.

What, that Fitz is slightly better than Hoyer? OK you tell me how much better he is

The Geno comment you're just being a jerkoff so I won't respond to that part

We signed Fitz because Geno is an unknown commodity and if we lose the first four games our season is toast. There are a lot of players that are around 30 who want to win now. Fitz gives us the best option going forward. Macc knew this and it's why he made the offer.

SOJ Fans tossing this Season like it was salad....SMH 6 dozen times

You all may not realize but this Jets Team is loaded on offense and defense

Check the Vegas Odds tomorrow, Debbie Downers, on Jets reaching a SB

I bet the Odds just went way down against us reaching POs and a Championship

    WHY??? FITZ IS BACK !!!!!!!

Dark Knight,,, Home Of,,, Stokes all the Fitz supporters way to hang in there Guys!!!!!

Those playoff teams on our Sched will be running scared facing Mo Wilk and company And they will have their hands full with Fitz Marshall Decker Powell Forte

Even Mevi$ will be so happy he might bring his A/A plus game in stead of the B+ from last year

    GO JETS

Putting Fitz's name in the same sentence with Brady and Rodgers is nuts. They don't need upside. They're all-time greats. Fitz is all-time mediocre.

Geno fans are going to be on the war path now. You thought last year was bad. Gameday threads will be a religious quest for them!

Fitz got what he wanted. Immediate money.

I'm sure this was important to him in case he screwed up. Now he's got the best situation for himself going forward.

He has an excellent year? He demands more money.
He does moderately well and the Jets don't offer him immediately? Well other teams will see and he'll get money, or the Jets still won't have a better idea and shoot him another offer.
He messes up? The money is in his pocket.

I think this speaks loads on their confidence in Geno. I don't think they have any, I think it was bargaining chip. If this is the case they should move on especially if Hackenberg or Petty makes progress in training camp.

In reality the players wanted Fitz. If they step up their game because of it, it will overshadow his deficiencies.

One further thing I wanted to add, if Fitz outperforms Osweiler, it will prove those big contracts were incredibly hasty going forward.
