I gave him a B. Thought he has a good roadmap, he's on the right track, but he did not beat any teams we weren't supposed to bear. A win vs. either Boston or Indy, would have given an A.

I gave him a B. Alot of stupid NFL 'experts' underrated the Jets roster at the beginning of the year so I don't think he should be given an A because we are 3-3 instead of 0-6. He is a breath of fresh air over Herm because his clock management skills are far superior and the media dislikes him, which is a good sign. The media loved Herm because he gave them tons of soundbites and information that should have been confidential; this despite the fact he was a horrible coach on game day. There are some things I dislike. For example, his stubborness in keeping the 3-4, which obviously is not a good scheme for this team. Also, he has been very stubborn in regards to the running back situation. Leon Washington is clearly the best back but Barlow gets more carries every week. Is he doing this because we need to show a return on a 4th round pick? If so, I'd be very displeased because that shit now sounds like something the old Herm regime would try to pull. Anyway, Mangini has been pretty good but has alot of room to improve. He's certainly better than Herm.

I did not have to read far before I found the opinion that sums up how I feel, too.

He is in his first year as HC, and to give him a full 'A' at thispoint would not be objective, but I am satisfied we are going in the right direction.
