I agree it's gotten worse in that game. Of course, we have to remember how often we complain about the usual referees. I just think that the supposed incompetence of these guys is overblown, and I think if they stay out there they're only going to get better. And I think Harbaugh is quite possibly the biggest jackass to carry a clipboard in a long, long time.

If I'm the NFLRA, I am not at all happy after this week's games. Nothing has happened to make the NFL back off their position at all.

And then the SEA/ARZ timeout count happened.

Yeah, that was inexcusable. Fortunately for the NFL it didn't affect the result of the game.

Please don't anyone think that I'm saying that these guys are as good as the regular referees. I just think that officials in general (in every sport) have a very overinflated view of their importance in the scheme of things.

That one is on whoever does the scoreboard. The refs never called for a timeout to be charged on the incomplete pass in the endzone.

Pereira said it should have been a charged timeout, and he obviously knows more about the game than I do, but I've never heard of a team getting charged with an injury timeout in the final 2 minutes when the clock is already stopped because the pass was incomplete?

Are you serious? The block in the back they called on the 49ers when they were covering a punt? It was clearly the Packers guy that made the block in the back.

That play hadn't even happened when that comment was posted.

Oh, well then that was a little early for an assessment of rookie refs.

They missed some stuff, but no ref is perfect.

It was the wrong call technically, as you get charged with the timeout either way.
Amazingly this is the 3rd time in the last 10 years a team has been mistakenly given an extra TO. Happened in 2009 CLE/BAL, and 2003 BAL/SEA.

They seem to be getting worse.
Tons of missed calls this week, including a bunch of false starts. How do you miss a false start?

Ton of after the whistle fights. Desean and someone on the defense slapped each other in the helmets. Took forever to assign penalties. Took forever to discuss penalties. The game poured over the start of the Jets/Steelers. It went on forever

Apparently some ref told LeSean McCoy that he needed him for his fantasy team lol. And another ref got taken off the Saints game because of Saints stuff he posted on his Facebook page. Yeah, this is really working out well for the NFL.

Arena security spends more time patting down fans going into a stadium than the league apparently spent vetting these guys.

Replacements are so fucking bad. I think Baltimore fans are about to jump out of their seats, storm the field, and kill the refs

what a fucking mess. you know it would be great if a few of the players stepped out or all of them stepped out and said we will not play until the real refs are back.

that would fix the whole situation. fucking scumbag owners worrying about pennies when tehy have billions.

    fuck them.

BAl- NE was the worst officiated game I've ever seen. Completely changed the outcome of the game.
