+1 I knew he would be a turn over machine just like any rookie if they had him throwing this much.

What bothers me most is that he should have been canned with Mangini

Funny thing is, last week he had the same number of INTs as the great Matt Ryan.

Can you believe that Schottenheimer had an outside chance at being the Jets head coach?

I don't want to throw out depressing hypotheticals, but if Rex turned us down, I really believe Schottenheimer would be running this team.

    That is so scary.

Oh well. I say Schotty's got one more shitty outing before Callahan gets the nod and our 2010 coaching staff is locked in.

Schottenheimer for Bills head coach in '10!!! Jump on the bandwagon!

I'm not sure that I want Callahan running our offense.

    Can you elaborate?

I know he's been abysmal as a head coach at both the professional and collegiate level, but his job here has been to run the rushing attack. The Jets have the number 1 rushing attack in the NFL. I think that deserves a promotion.

Any other contenders in mind? Legitimate contenders, mind you. "Shanahan for OC" is a little optimistic IMO.

"Jets coach Rex Ryan said Monday that he's going to take more of an active role in making sure that rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez understands the concept of ball security in the wake of Sanchez throwing four interception and losing a fumble in the Jets' 31-14 loss to the Patriots on Sunday at Gillette Stadium."

    Well, Glory, Glory, Fucking Hallelujah.

I'm guessing that Matt Cavanaugh is going to take over the OC job next season. Ryan cannot stop talking about him without referencing his position during the Ravens' Super Bowl run.

He is the guy that did not openly pursue Favre! Brett has 21 TDs and only 3 ints. Imagine if he was doing that for us this year! D-rex should take control of this team. It is out of control. The Offense is poor and not just because PICK6EZ is a rookie. he does not seem to be learning from his mistakes at all.

Chad Pennington, Quarterbacks coach for next year.. I just wish that would happen, I think that he will be an OC in the future and a pretty damn good one. And unlike guys like Todd Haley and Sean Payton (when he was with the 'Boys) his players will actually respect him because he did play in this league and was successful as a player in this league.

I will admit I was really down big time on Favre last year, I thought he was the worst I had seen and that he needed to just retire. Voiced my opinion to everyone and now feel like an idiot now that he is doing so well.. I thought the injury was a phantom injury used to make excuses for a poor performance.. Maybe now the reason is our OC, maybe that's what caused Favre to quit on this team, why our rookie quarterback is regressing in his 10th game.. I believed in Schotty jr, but I am starting to have my doubts about his game-calling.

Favre would never be comfortable enough with this system to have the success he's having in minnesota.

we also don't have AP. He makes a huge difference.
