Haha...couldn't help but stop by and see what all you losers are thinking now....still want Cashman I bet...of course you deserve him and Girardi for that matter too...now I'll go laugh on my own for the next few months and come back when they are eliminated to laugh again.

I'm a fan of neither team, but considering they play in the same division, couldn't they have just rained this game out and scheduled a doubleheader during a later series? MLB is lucky this is a pitcher's game (so far) but considering this is Yanks/Sox this game could easily go past 2 a.m.

Wow the Sux really have our number right now. Brutal 7th inning.

I stayed up until Robertson let it get out of control. Though that's partially Girardi's fault for letting CC give up 4 and have runners at the corners before making the change.

Ortiz screaming at the media over getting hit is ludicrous. It couldn't have anything to do with the dickhead bat flip and Red Sox pitchers' (plural) penchant for hitting Yankees, could it? Fuck you Papi. Eat a fat dick.

As though the Joba news wasn't bad enough, it turns out Justin Maxwell had surprise surgery yesterday. He had a torn labrum. So much for him getting a shot at the bigs this year.

But it gets worse. Kevin Whelan, the Scranton closer who Cashman taps as the next guy to fill in for the pen, has been hurting since his last appearence.

I know it's early and there is a lot of baseball left to be played, but I don't see how this team can keep in the race if anyone else goes down. As it is, we're likely going to deplete AAA with callups and trades. That leaves no room for error, and an increasingly shaky future. I'm of a mind to just say scrap this year, play it out with whatever we have, maybe sell a bit near the deadline, and come back stronger next year.

I sincerely doubt that AAA will be depleted because of callups or trades. And even if it is, the future isn't shaky because most of the Yanks' talent (outside of Montero) is in AA or lower. Cashman isn't an idiot (despite what Don would have you believe). He knows the Yanks don't have any leverage right now. He's not going to go trade Gary Sanchez for a reliever. He's not giving up Banuelos+ for Zambrano, either. If there's a decent trade out there, he'll take it.

Losing Joba sucks... but it sucks mostly because they had already lost Marte, Feliciano, and Soriano.

Let's see what happens when Hughes comes back. Might actually make sense just to move Hughes to the pen, for now.
