In May and June he was saying the Yanks would catch the Red Sox and take over 1st place in this very series. I like it when he's wrong about stuff like this.

michael kay: "crisp hasn't taken the bat off his shoulders yet."

I wouldn't mind Rocket giving some retaliation for ARod getting hit by Dice-K again.

Tavarez was telling him to pitch inside, not to hit him. If you really think it was intentional, you either don't know about baseball or are blinded by Yankee homerism. Same thing I suppose...

... says the fan of the team whose fan base includes people who swear that Big Papi is the most clutchiest of clutch players and that A-Rod is and ever shall be a choker, that Tavarez is a better pitcher than Clemens, that the Red Sox would win 110 games this year, and that Manny Ramirez is ten times the hitter that A-Rod would ever be.

All things that were said to me this season.

Snarky comments about the ignorance of Yankee fans can be met with stories of Sox fan ignorance ten times over. Trust me, I live it every day.

Regarding the pitch, I don't think it was intentional that he hit him considering the situation, but I don't think he was concerned about going inside. He was going to throw inside, regardless, and if it hit him, oh well. That's what a pitcher should do. BUT.... that shouldn't be a one-way street.

Until a Yankee pitcher steps up and shows the Sox that "accidents" when trying to command the inside of the plate have additional consequences aside from possibly putting a runner on, we're going to see a lot more of it. Yankee batters have been hit three times as often as Sox batters in the head to head matchups since 2003.
