if he gets 3 games which I doubt it wont be a big deal b/c according to the Joba rules he has to sit the next 2 days
sweeping in the summer, has never been better.. nice pitching by edWAR to not allow joba's run to score..
Great series. Despite being 5 games down, I think this team has the confidence and schedule to make something special happen.
At the start of this 23 game grind I was hoping we would go 14-9(.609) which is exactly what we did. I thought it would have been enough to have a 2 or 3 game lead in the wildcard which it wasn't. I never expected Seattle to keep winning for as long as the did. Funny thing is Boston went 12-11 in that same period with a much easier schedule.
Man, I don't get that ejection. On the NESN feed up here, I got to see the ever-classy Josh Beckett scream, "Get out of here, you fucking cunt!" at Joba. Twice. Nice.
I think its who throws more balls not who starts....if joba only threw one ball its edwars walk...if joba throws two balls its still edwars because he threw the last two...if joba throws 3 balls then I think its jobas walk...how many balls did joba throw?
It was Ramirez's run. He let him on base and was charged with the walk. It shows as his walk in the box score. Chien-Ming Wang (W,16-6) 7.0 1 0 0 4 5 0 3.79 Joba Chamberlain 1.1 1 0 0 0 0 0 0.00 Edwar Ramirez 0.2 0 0 0 1 1 0 5.56
makes the win ever better, to know how peeved beckett was.. i hope boston falters, and the yanks can make it a race..
i dont really care whose runner it was, but it was 100% joba's runner. I remember when Phil Hughes got hurt in Texas, it was in the middle of an at-bat, and they were sayin how the pitcher who came on, hadda get the out or it was charged to Hughes..
With Manny out of the lineup, there's a much better chance of that. And the count was 3-1 was Joba was ejected.
Oh yeah, this is Manny being Manny again. He decided he needs a few weeks off again this year. Nothing new there.
i will start the next thread, cause i dont think any socks fans will do it.. lemme try my luck with it
