That might be the best Freudian slip I've ever heard/read.

He ain't close to 100% that is pretty clear. I think it has more to do with never fully recovering than him all of a sudden becoming a choke artist.

Let me just re-post the important part of what I said:

I'm sure Ortiz will be fine. The point was that it's moronic to think that anything less than 100 ABs (and that's the low end) offers anything in terms of predictive ability for a hitter.

    Overall...Of course.

But head-to-head the Yanks beat the Rays 11-7 in the season series.

With that said...The Rays have been more than impressive this season, and Saturday, and tonight was more evident...

Acquiring "wins" is not important for a pitcher but winning is.

    LOL @ the Sox

In fairness, the kid was probably born after the Devil Rays were founded, so it's the only thing he knows.

Figured Wakefield would get hit, he always does, but he couldn't work out of the situation as per. I hate myself for saying it, but the Devil Rays are too young and have too much speed for Wake to be as effective as usual.

Nonetheless, still early and the BoSox have shown they can score late.

Yeah...This Rays team is full of speed, They can simply make something out of nothing against breaking ball pitchers such as Wakefield... Once on base, these guys such as Iwimura, Upton, Bartlett, Crawford and even our rookie, Perez can all steal and advance a base any given pitch...It's exciting to watch. I guess you can say thats what youth and talent brings...Quick athletes.

Then we have a power hitting lineup, that can turn on a fast ball any given pitch...Hitters like Longoria, Pena, Upton, Navarro, Cliff Floyd and even Iwimura can turn on one...This lineup is COMPLETE...Our bench is COMPLETE...Our Bullpen is tough as nails, our starting rotation with Kazmir, Shields, Garza and now Sonnanstine is just about 2nd to none...Our infield defense is full of gold glove talent with Pena & Longoria playing the corners...Iwimura and Bartlett turning double plays while playing with great range...Even Navarro calls a great game behind the plate...

Our outfield could be our strong point...Great athletes all around with Crawford in LF...The best DEFENSIVE left fielder in the game today...B.J Upton...Wow, Griffey Jr...This kid can play. And in RF we have plenty of options with Rocco, Gross, Hinske and now Perez within the near future.

Rays up on the Sox... 5-1...5th inning...About to be a 3-1 Series lead for the "Devil Rays"...How bout them Rays? Red Sux beating the Rays 3 games in a row? Two games @ the Trop? Yeah ok...As a Rays fan...I cant even see this Red Sox team winning game 5..I just cant see it. This Rays team will be SMELLING a Championship during game 5!

GL Red Sox...Thats all Im gonna say..Good luck!

Evan Longoria leading off the 5th...Lets tack some runs on... I can taste the World Series!

Wakefield? IS this his last start as a Red Sox? It should be...That Knuckle ball has been EXPOSED here in 2008..By these Rays...Francona should have known better. What a manager

Wakefields knuckleball was exposed 15 years ago, he's been a junkballer for years.

Now that Manny has left the Red Sox for the dodgers...I feel it's safe to say that the Rays have the best overall left fielder with in the AL East...Carl mother freaking Crawford baby!

How about that double by CC here in the 5th? How bout that RBI single from our talented bench player...Aybar baby! How about that Speed by CC?

    Like McDonalds...I'm loving it!

6-1...5th inning...Good night Red Sox...Good night. You know why I can say that? BEcause this is the Rays...Not the Red Sox or any other team...Our bullpen has been lights out with J.P Howell, Grant Balfour, Dan Wheeler, Chad Bradford, how about David Price or Edwin Jackson now? Wow...GL Against this bullpen...Like I said, lights out RedSoxDevilsFan.

I would go with Bradford in the 6th...If not Sonnanstine (Depends)

    J.P Howell in the 7th

    Wheeler in the 8th

Balfour in the 9th or what the heck? IF it's a blowout...How about David Price or even Edwin Jackson? I love it.

Thank you Troy Percival...Thank you...You led this bullpen the whole year, you showed them the ropes...You along with Jim Hickey has turned this bullpen into a bullpen of trust, talent and "Good night"

A new team has been born here in the American League East...These are not your older brothers Devil Rays....These are the Tampa Bay Rays. Respect has been earned

Well said. How about Sonnanstine? He was our #5 pitcher most of the year...Edwin Jackson was actually our 4th. How about Sonnanstine? Been a long time since you seen a (#5) pitcher with this type of talent and potential...Amazing control on ALL of his breaking balls. He's also YOUNG, keep that in mind.

    Shields
    Kazmir
    Garza
    Sonnanstine
    Price

For 2009. Shields has proven he's the Ace for this Rays team here in 08. Kazmir is another Ace...Tough Lefty...Great to have him in the 2 slot. Garza? wow...He could be an ace for just about any team...Really cant think of a #3 thats better than Garza as far as talent and potential goes. Sonnanstine??? #4? He's pitched like a #2 all season long, how about this playoff game on the road in Boston? Sonnanstine has been born...He's a Ray...He's the #4 pitcher next year.

David Price...Well, I guess you gotta work your way up...Our 1st overall pick last year... Shields, Garza, Sonnanstine, Kazmir, Jackson??? Thats a blessing for a pitcher with his ability and you know why? BEcause these guys will turn this kid into the Rays ACE...Watch out. He's a PHENOM. When we drafted him....I was like WOW...

Dude you don't have to post your lineup everytime you want to make a point, and why the hell are you talking about 2009 when you are in the ALCS? Seriously it doesn't make any sense especially with uncertainty of looking forward to another year. You have no idea when your team will make this stage next, don't waste this time looking to next year.

^ But they are so young and full of talent and they try oh-so super-duper hard. No other team in the MLB has young players that try hard!1111
