Brilliant Post! Too bad the rest of this thread is garbage. Either everyone follow Beamen's lead here or this on is going to be closed.
well... not wanting to see this thing closed i will try to add to it while not being sarcastic. while sacks are important to try and equate them to touchdowns for stat purposes is flawed. the single most important stat of a game is the score. and thouchdowns have a direct relationship on the score and overall outcome of a game. while a sack has somewhat of a say on the score of a game it still doesnt directly effect the score, so no i do not think they = each other.
"I've never fucked a 10. Never fucked a 10. But one time, I fucked 5 2's." ~G.C. Is this kinda what you guys are talking about?!
^out-of-context...the purpose was to try and find some type of way to compare offensive and defensive playmakers. The idea is to forgo the obvious TD's score points and sacks don't. It actually proves to be a decent rule of thumb. If some of your prehistoric brains (not directed at you Tballz) can't handle the comparison, think of it in terms of fantasy football where both defensive and offensive players score points.
do u mean like compared for relevance to skill, not relevance of the situation in the game, like it is just as skillful for a de to sack a qb 3 times in a game then a rb to score 3 td's in a game?
