Just a week ago he was on SNY talking about the "new Flyboys" and how he couldn't wait for the Jets' season.

I just don't understand why there are fifty threads regarding the same thing.

OP, did you not read the news at all? Your statements make no sense and frankly making a thread about your illogical "rant" really was not a need. You get all pissy then when people say your full of shit. What did you expect? You really think people were going to agree with you and offer their condolences for your grief?

I live in Miami and I have to deal with these Miami fans everyday. I was born and raised a Jet, and you sound just like those Dolphin fans. Critiquing every move and putting it to shit. Then when they start winning and it turns out a successful transaction, you jump on the bandwagon. I can guarantee you one thing. When and if we sign Mason and he has an unbelievable year for us along with Plaxico, your going to be the guy saying "I knew it all along!!"

Man. Everyone has a right to their opinion, but you are W-A-Y off on this.

Derek Mason >>> Cotchery, who has been on-an-off his whole career. Had one 1000+yard season and never even sniffed it again. I loved JCo, and I know he was a fan favorite, but the reality is that at best he was a weak #2 for this team prior to last year, and on most teams would be a weak #3 or even a #4. He is close to that on this team now - and THAT is the real problem. Cotchery may have been the definition of a Jet in the SOJ days, but he isn't the definition of a Jet now. Most of his teammates and coaching staff didn't even agree with his position on this.

Burress>>>Edwards You have to be kidding. Plaxico Burress has always been, will be now, and will be next year, better then Braylon Edwards. It has been reported that Edwards was responsible for almost 50% of Sanchez's INTs because he was free lancing and out of position. He quit on routes in the playoffs. He is a moron off the field, and has only 1 strike left.....And he was not going to play for the Jets for 3.5M - EVER. He is for SF because nobody else was offering anything better.

Nobody was offering him anything better because every other day he was getting into a bar fight. It's ridiculous to see people like this (OP) and walk around and have no idea about what's going on, yet try and get people to sympathize with them.

If Edwards really wanted to play for the Gang Green, he would have signed for the same deal with us. He doesn't quite understand that signing Holmes for that huge contract was the smartest move we could have done. He tries to compare himself to Holmes, who is a totally different animal of his own. Edwards wanted the money, not the championship. It's really pathetic to see him sign for that little with a team like the 49ers. His loss.

Thank you Guru. Neither I nor anyone else could ever have thought of the Burress move like that; you are so enlightened. I think you should know that your knowledge has inspired a fan club.

Maybe you can tell me who I should draft at QB with the number 1 pick in my league? Also, can you recommend a solid back up CB?

I hate to be Captain Obvious, but it's just too bad that some people still don't get it.

And in any event, I'm actually quite flattered that so many internet strangers have taken a liking to me. I'm quite fond of the attention. Really, I am.

Why is it cool to write "...REALLY??" or "...SERIOUSLY????" on message boards?

Edwards likely could have gotten that deal or something similar from the Jets. He definitely wanted more money. Then the day after Plax signed, Braylon went out with his entourage of retards and decided to get plastered and beat up some dudes.

Now Braylon knows he's in for at least a suspension from the league and at most significant time in prison. Signing that contract with the 49ers was a money grab, plain and simple.

No I agree with you. The thing that makes me say that is because if he really thought the Jets were going to pay him the kind of money he wanted then he's a moron. Instead of realizing that signing Holmes for a deal like we did was a genius idea, he immediately went into the mindset thinking he should get the same. How could a team pay 2 receivers that kind of money and why would a team pay that kind of money to a guy who is always in trouble? Him getting into trouble again just reiterated the fact that he's trouble to every team now. It makes me think that maybe Rex and Mr. T knew he was bound to break the rules again.

And to other posters, I really didn't think my statement needed it's own thread but I was at work all day tryna figure out what was going on with this team. And as u can c it was 2 am and between mr being tired af and Jersey Shore I didnt really have the time to read every thread. Now for me its not easy to c players like those go to other teams. Hell I'm a fan... Braylon >>>> Buress so far but until this point hasn't done shit for me or anybody on this team. Do u guys rmrb the countless amazing plays Cotch has made over his tenure as a jet, seriously who am I going to side with. The new guys or the old guys. People are saying let it go, who in the fuck other a name on a message board to me.It was a about 2 sumthin in the mornin I wanted to vent and I'm ok and dont care anymore, Buress and Mason are good receivers in this league and hopefully Plax can return to his old form sooner rather than later

I'm starting to think Edwards was more of a problem in the locker then people may think. He was up for a 1yr deal and they passed up on him for a guy who's been in jail for 2 years. Can't be to excited with that but there's a good chance Edwards was a ball buster and they knew he wasn't good for Sanchez. As for J-Co, He just had big surgery and they felt it wouldn't be a big drop off by getting a cheaper guy in Mason. Yes he's 37 but he's still very productive and i love what j-co brought to this team but i also have a good feeling there won't be a big drop off if any with Mason.

Nothing wrong with venting, but as others have said, Cotchery wanted to go and was not happy here, plus he was getting too much money to be a #3 which is all he was.

Edwards wanted a lot more money and would never have signed with the jets for even $5M, becuase he was mad. Add in the fact that he could actually be in more legal trouble for instigating an assualt and that he is already on parole, we should be glad to not signed him.

Burress is taller and more proven, yes not in playing shape, but I don't see him going back to jail any time soon, see above.

Mason even at his age is a very good receiver who would have lead the Jets in receiptions any year over the last decade and I would like him as Mark's safety net.

The only significant point the OP made was regarding chemistry.

However both players are upgrades at their positions respectively.

Unfortunately, its going to take a couple months before Sanchez is on the same page as there guys regarding timing etc. That's the only downfall so the Jets might get off to a slow start.

Hopefully Holmes and Keller will make up for it.

Otherwise OP is a bag of dicks.
