Reality is Fitzpatrick is perfect for the Jets and he has nowhere else to go..

He was the reason the "odds where next to nothing". Did he have a chance to complete that int he threw in endzone?

The first int was inexcusable. It was also the only bad mistake he made all game and the only red zone int he threw all year. When evaluating a player, you have to put things in context.

Agreed. Just saying for his contract argument.
They were terrible. I am not blaming the loss on Fitz at all. I am just saying playing well and winning that game would have justified this stand off he and his representation are doing.

Yup. I was thinking 7. But 8 is tops.

Nacho is making 4 million a year. Fitzy at 12? Four times Sanchez. Fuck that.

I'm going to go with Cimini's take and say the Jets will sweeten the pot a little bit and give him 3 yrs/$30M with 15 guaranteed and 15 they can get out of. That's what Ryan Fitzpatrick is worth. He's worth more than a backup by a quite a bit and less than a star by quite a bit.

Hopefully the 2016 Jets can replace "SUCK" with "WIN A SUPER BOWL"

Totally agree. Just because the eagles are STUPID enough to pay Bradford $18M a year, why does everyone else have to follow suit? I like the job Fitz gave us last year, but I'd be surprised if he could repeat it. I would not budge off $7-8 M per year and if he refuses move on.

I really hope this is how it plays out. Otherwise, I wouldn't have a problem starting the season with Geno.

Pretty efficient business model actually. He's probably only worked half of his career.

If this is true and no one else wants him and he is perfect here then why would we change out offer of 7mil per? The season doesnt start tomorrow. Make him take what we offer or go be a backup and make less elsewhere

He works so he can make enough to get EIC on his tax return, then quits.

Your math is a little off...

I thought it would have been fun if Sanchez ended up back with the Jets.

Does anyone know what he's asking for? I know what people are speculating, but what is he asking for?

Fitz played well and earned the chance to give it another shot BUT he isn't worth more than $10 mil no way. Mac is right to start low and stick to it! If he can sign him for 7-8 mil per over 2 than I do think he earned it and had good chemistry with the WRs.

Having said that the potential of RG3 in Chans offence is enormous and is a great plan B.

Do we 100% know... But if the reports are true 18mil is to much.

Who has reported $18million? Everyone speculates $16-$18 million, but nothing has ever tied a number to his actual asking price.
