This isn't a good look for Rice; even while trying to get his fiancee off the floor he only averaged under 2 yards per carry.
I don't believe in the absolute claim a man should never hit a woman. if a woman is beating on you, at some point you have to hit her back if that is what it is going to take to stop it. the law doesn't differentiate defense against a man or a woman. but if she slaps you once, or even twice, especially a woman you claim to love, and you hit her so hard you knock her out, that is on you. if his defense is that she hit him first, unless it was a barrage of punches, that is no defense. but if she was beating on him thinking like a lot of women she has free reign to do so with no repercussions, than I find it hard to condemn him.
Thats rediculous, you don't have to hit her back you can just restrain her, especially Ray Rice who is a damn football player. There is absolutely no excuse for hitting your woman.
sam gets more coverage because its a hot topic thing and he is hte first, its just what it is. they latch onto that shit and wont let it go for the next year. comparing the two is retarded, stop with the oh man how does nobody care about this but braylon gets one dui... stop, you sound like a douche. you dont hit a woman, no matter what. if you do hit her in the elevator, stand her ass back up. hold her there and take a trip back to the top floor, under no circumstances do you drag her out of the elevator into the cameras view. dummy.
it's an extreme, but if another woman was punching the shit out of your wife, maybe she's bloody and unconscious, you wouldn't hit her? of course you would, and you are a liar or a fool of you say otherwise. so your absolute "there is absolutely no excuse for hitting a woman" is bullshit.
Sam gets more coverage because it is a positive story representing a landmark event in pro sports that was celebrated. this is a negative story that is bad for everyone involved. are people seriously arguing that a positive, landmark event shouldn't get more coverage than another ugly incident of a player beating a woman?
I think the elevator had a camera as well since apparently there is video of him knocking her out, they were in a casino so cameras everywhere.
Its like the Roethlisberger allegations, ESPN completely ignored it until they started getting called out for it.
Police have a video of him knocking out his wife apparently. Its going to have to be released eventually, if they use it in court. Not going to be good for Ray Rice when that happens.
This story actually got a lot of coverage today on the espn radio shows I listen too. I still don't understand why the dude hit her.. You're much stronger than the girl..restrain her, call for help. Don't crack her
Not trying to be a smartass but you can say this for every case of domestic abuse committed by males. Obviously he has an anger problem or never learned not to behave this way. It is unlikely he logically thought it out
