Okay besides Braylon & Plaxico, who's better on the market than Moss

Sure you can. Which is why I threw out the New England game. The vikings at the dick on that one, and Tavaris Jackson was in the game which isn't good for any WR.

Really? So you think the Randy Moss Cancer Voodoo is so bad that if he comes here that after the season Ryan will be fired, Sanchez will retire, and whomever the fuck is our backup QB will be cut too?

The fact is both the Vikings and especially the Titans were fucked franchises last year. I'm not really sure if you follow the NFL outside of the Jets but I thought just about everyone realized how bad those situations were.

By your logic, Brett Farve retired, Childress was fired, Tavaris Jackson left, Vince Young was Cut, Kerry Collins retired, and Jeff Fisher got fired because of....Randy Moss.

Randy Moss isn't my hero. I suppose you're accusing me of that because you have no stats and no film to back up your claim that he's "washed up".

You've just got so much hate, and so little logic going towards the guy that you don't realize how much better he could make the Jets for very little risk. Especially if the Jets can't retain Edwards.

Haha, now that is some really ignorance.

search youtube... you'll find a ton. also, one handed catches dont count more then 2 handed catches.... and, as mentioned, the highlight catch vs the jets omits the 8 incompletions and 2 interceptions that made up the other 10 throws that came his way tha game.

Exactly. I mean, I can believe certain WR's might be better if Moss has his period again next season but the fact is his upside is astronomical. People hate him so much they want to believe he's worthless when he might not be.

I don't even know if Plaxico gets to be rated higher then Moss. He hasn't played.

What are our chances re-signing Braylon anyway. I've heard he wants to return but will we have enough cash to spend?

Since there were a "ton" link 10 of them since I've provided stats and film showing what he did last season.

Congratulations, you must be a lot smarter than the vikings who traded a 3rd round pick for him last season.

There is a part of me that thinks the Jets would want to sign Plaxico to stick it to the Giants.

Probably depends on if we sign Aso and how much of a hometown discount Braylon wants to give. I'm not sure the Jets really want to break the bank on him. I like the guy, especially paired with Holmes but it's hard to pay him #1 WR money. He never replicated what he did in 2007 with Cleavland. He had a good year last season, but I don't see how you throw a lot of cash at him this year, especially with so many veteran WR's out there.

True, so like Jail but with nice rings at the end. Seriously though, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up back there it would make sense for both sides.

If we sign Nnamdi, Ill gladly take Moss as our #2 receiver at a discount but if we dont sign Aso then I think we should resign Braylon and forget about Moss...

If they sign Braylon, there would be no need for Moss.

So in your mind it is not possible he had a bad year? Because the few seasons before last year , ya know when he was "motivated" he averaged 1255yds 15.06avg and 15.6 TD. I'm supposed to believe he suddenly isn't worth more than the guys you mentioned ? Seriously Plax out of jail is better than Moss after what amounts to a year off ?!?

So put an S over the top and have a CB on him , do the math with me how many people is that ? So you will need 2 guys to be focused on Moss to take him out of the game? Isn't that what a lot of us are arguing? (Moss for dirt cheap will at least force a double team and open up the field for other guys)

Why would we be scrambling to find a WR if we cut Moss ? It would be a signing just to see if he can produce, it's not like we would be trading a 1st round pick for him and then basing our entire offense around him.

Really? So having a possible malcontent like Moss on your team, could not help you learn anything at all about the veteran leadership of your squad? It can't help you learn how your QB and Captain will/can deal with these situations in the present and possibly in the future ?

To me he was hacking it just fine **as a player** he said something to someone that someone in charge didn't like and they traded him. I did not see it posted anywhere after the trade that it was done due to lack of production I mean 4 games 139 yards and 3 TDs seems okay to me. Couldn't hack it with Favre in Minnesota ? The Vikes couldn't hack it with Favre in Minnesota last year, or are we blaming Randy Moss for a 6-10 season? Again, I thought he was traded because Chilly didn't like him? As far as the Titans go, I have no clue, but the same could have been said about him in Oakland and the Pats took a chance and look how that paid off!

I have no clue how much he will demand in salary, but if it's an affordable price I cannot see how you don't take the chance if you NEED a WR , if we don't get Aso and we resign Bray then this whole convo is null and void

But if we have very little money left after a big splash and we need a WR why not take the chance, I get you don't like Moss but nothing you have mentioned as far as his playing ability is actually founded on statistical fact, besides the fact he had one bad season.

Has only finished a 16 game season once in his 6 seasons.

Has never broken 800 yards receiving with some damn good QB's throwing to him.

Has broken 700 yards receiving only twice in his career.

The most TD's he's scored in a season were 6 last year. Prior to that his max was 4.

Floyd would be a fine #2 if we can't get braylon, but Moss in his bad years is better than Floyd is his good ones.

    Edwards > Moss > Burris

they could also trade for a WR...
