Read what I said again ... I said I'd be ok with taking the risk BUT ... I think TO has more left in the tank at this point, and also more of a help in the running game. Still had close to 1,000 yards last year with 9 TD's on a shitty team. If we're going to take a risk anyway, give me the better player. And as much as a pain in the ass as TO can be, I don't think he's ever been accused of not giving everything he has on the field.

T.O has always been a team cancer and we don't need a WR calling out Mark Sanchez because something didn't go perfect. Randy Moss has never been like that. Moss has never been a team cancer.

Ok, so Owens had a better season than Moss last year, but does that mean that T.O is the better WR talent? Hell no.

Moss played 4 games with NE last year, 4 with the Vikings and 4 with the Titans... So of course his numbers were ugly.

But what about the year before in 2009? Moss put up 83 catches, 1,264 yards and 13 TD's. Owens only put up 55 catches, 829 yards and 5 TD's. You're pretty much saying that Randy Moss is washed up because of "last year"; but 2009 says otherwise.

What about in 2008? Moss put up 69 catches, 1,008 yards and 11 TD's. Owens put up 69 catches, 1,052 yards and 10 TD's.

How about we take it back to 2007 where Moss put up 98 catches, 1,493 yards and 23 TD's. Owens put up 81 catches, 1,355 yards and 15 TD's. Huge edge goes to Randy Moss and it's not even close. And lets not say "Tom Brady" because Brady never made Randy Moss. Moss made himself.

You stated that you think TO has more left in the tank at this point? I'll agree to disagree. Randy Moss is 4 years younger than Terrell Owens. I'll take the WR who's 4 years younger.

I'd love to see Randy Moss REJUVENATE his career with Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan. I have a strong feeling Randy Moss would love to play under Rex Ryan. Anyone who feels the career of Randy Moss is over and done with, all because of "last year" isn't looking at the big picture. He's 4 years younger than Owens and still has alot to offer.

and then have to scramble to find someone to replace him, and get to choose from FA fodder or someone elses trash.

why bother, when there are much better options now. again, what is the upside to moss? he isnt a cancer and makes 3 or 4 plays over the course of the season?

there are a dozen guys id rather take a shot on then a washed up randy moss. guy couldnt cut it with the league mvp, in a great situation... dont see why he'd cut it here, with a nother year under his belt

I remember when Randy Moss said Tom Brady's haircut made him look like a girl. If that's not good enough for you guys I don't know what is.

I don't want him near Sanchez or the team. That being said, if they sign him, I hope he proves me wrong x 1000.

I cringe at the thought of sanchez force feeding deep balls to moss who makes a half hearted effort to bat away a ball that is eventually picked off... then a camera shot as he yells at sanchez.

    no thanks.

give me james jones, or another guy who can stretch the field.

I cannot understand the people who say "Hell No" to this idea (because that is all that it is right now) Name 5 receivers better than a motivated Randy Moss?
If Sanchez is ruined having Moss on the team for 3-4-5 weeks (if he acts up and gets cut) then I do not want Sanchez as my QB... this is a signing, where if he performs it will be INCREDIBLE, and if he doesn't then oh well no harm no foul.
I do not think anything "bad" can come from this, because even if it goes wrong you will find out a lot more about the other players you have on your roster.
Randy Moss (if cheap and only if cheap) could seriously HELP this team... there is no way I can see him seriously hurting this team.

Thats the one thing he would bring that Edwards can not. Moss may be limited in the route tree, but he can still take the top off the defense. Moss clearing out for Holmes and Keller underneath is a scary passing attack.

The question of motivation is a big one, but with the right deal it does no harm in taking a chance on a talent like him.

With leaders like Sanchez, Revis, LT and so forth down the list.. Do you think they would let Randy Moss come into the team and ruin the team chemistry.. Rex Ryan would eat him for lunch, there is no way Rex allows that shit.

Moss would be on his best behavior this year, especially after last years debacle...

I wouldnt complain if the Jets signed Randy Moss. I'd prefer Braylon cause I feel like he fits the team better but Moss (assuming he isnt done) is a freak talent.

If this was 3 years ago, it would be a no-brainer. I just dont think Moss has much left in the tank, and will act as though he is still the best WR in the NFL.

Just find a way to get Chad Johnson if the Jets need another WR. You know he wants to be around Revis because he has a man crush on him.

ionno Chad Johnson has sucked some rhino dong the last cple years

hell TO was better than him last year.

I wouldnt mind Moss at all, i would prefer James Jones long term but Moss still has it.

he turned into Oakland mode after the pats traded him.

now hes ready to blow it out for least 1 yr IMO.

It's still definitely possible, I think people are jumping to conclusions already calling Edwards a goner.

Cutting Bryan Thomas, cutting LT's salary and restructuring Sanchez will open up a lot more cash (like 12+ million I believe). We're already a few million under even after the Holmes and Hunter re-signings so I suppose it's possible to sign him and Aso but I think he would be able to get more money from St. Louis or Tampa Bay.
