We all agree we want Braylon #1 choice.... but if that doesn't happen, of these guys you say you want more than Moss, who would cost nearly as little as Moss would ? I think the only reason we are even in this convo, is because of how cheap Moss would be.

Right. Braylon is obviously best-case-scenario, but he'll cost far more.
Of the remaining options, Moss has the most talent per dollar.

I'll gladly do without Moss and all the bullshit that comes along with him. Same goes for Plax. If we can't bring back Braylon back, Cotch wouldn't be the worst no. 2 by any means. He has always been solid for us. He can go up and grab a jumpball, he can shed tackles, has the ability to make the amazing catch, and has average speed for a wideout. Also, if you wanted to replace Braylon, I'd say give Roy Williams a short term deal. The guy has shown many examples of his talent as a tall target, plus I feel like he just needs a new environment.... and on a side note, prob not this year but kerley and mcknight have some promise. I can see mcknight rising up as a top slot receiver one day esp. because of his relationship with sanchez.

    Roy Williams

Just a thought, but why not go after Roy Williams freshly released by the cowboys, he's younger than moss and has more upside, he would be cheaper, and is similar in size. I just think bang for your buck and lack of locker room cancer, Williams would be i nice fit.

While I somewhat share your thoughts regarding plax and moss, I would not be confident going into the season with Cotchery as our #2.

a lot of ppl though braylon edwards was a joke too with all his dropped passes... and look how he turned out... theres no harm in giving the guy a one year deal and see if he can conform to "playing like a jet" just like the rest of these clowns that rex whipped into shape... as stated b4.. when your talking "bang for your buck" roy williams could be a pleasant surprise... and i agree cotch is def better suited as a no. 3.... but we may not have too many options if we miss on braylon

He's had this phantom, unrealized "upside" for his entire career. All he does is plummet down depth charts.
How much cheaper would he be, if at all?

I agree that getting Roy on a cheap deal isn't a bad choice.
But if I had to pick him or Randy, I'm rolling the dice on Randy. He's shown he can be an elite game-changer.

agreed. there were few instances where cotch failed to impress. and you cannot deny that he gives it his all on every snap. very underrated.

Again what upside? he runs 2 routes, and no longer has the speed/athletic ability to do anything with those routes. he could be the most motivated player in the world, and still would be worthless

i dont have enough posts to post links, but it isnt that difficult:

    -go to google
    -select video
    -type sims-walker highlights
    -hit submit

and there are over a hundred results. a youtube search yields the same.

given the vikings history, i wouldnt say its out of the realm of possibility.... i mean, they traded a 3rd rounder for a guy they didnt even keep all season, who was then picked up by a team that benched him. so they arent all that brilliant.

I'm guessing you spent the last 3 hours trying and only succeeded in rebooting your computer and crawling back to this thread.

Holmes+Cotchery+Keller is a solid receiving trio. We don't need another big time, high priced receiver. We just need a guy can stretch the field that teams need to respect. Moss is probably the most cost effective option in that regard, even if he's mostly used as a decoy. There's other serviceable guys out there that can fit the bill.

or i dont have 50 posts and cant post links yet....

Although, I guess im not suprised you are incapable of a simple google or youtube search, given the nonsensical stuff you have been posting here in favor of moss.

again, take off the PJ's, your hero no longer has it.
