That is amusing. I am not crazy about Ramsey, but if we give anything more than a 5th for him, I will be very upset. Personally, I want to pass on him all together.

Ok here is my take on it. If we trade for Ramsey then its time to trade out of the number 4 spot. Ramsey has tremendous talent and who know Shottenheimer could turn him into the next Brees with a better arm. Also if Ramsey doesnt work out next year we draft Quinn or someone else out there.

If Ramsey falls flat on his face it still wouldn't be a steal for the Skins. We are talking about a 5th rd. pick here aren't we? The only potential for a steal is on the side of the Jets

For only a 5th, its a done deal. Give them KC's 4th if they want more. Ramsey has a lot of potential, and for only a 4th/5th, you do it.

I can easily agree with you, and the nunbers don't lie.
    BUT
Let's remember the horrible system he played under those years....and the kind of BS pressure he played under...
    5th Rounder? DONE!

and I'll take him over Jay Keebler! (Glad he's gone!)

I am not 100% sure the Jets can trade that pick. I think it is regarded as a compensation pick...

You can't, but since it was aquired in a trade, it might be different.

Just to chime in on my thoughts of Ramsey going to the Jets....

I think he's going to be a nice addition, and he's got alot of untapped talent we haven't seen yet in my opinion. He was wasting his talents in Washington sitting behind more experienced veterans, and I think he'll be a very good fit for the Jets. Nice move....

Since all this Ramsey talk started, I can't help but notice your wiggling Brees head is smiling a little more broadly than before. I guess he figures if he winds up with the Fins, that's two less games he has to worry about.

The road of the NFL is paved with the carcasses of former 1st round, can't miss, blue chip, future all-pro quarterbacks. They're a dime a dozen. Ramsey is one interception away from football oblivion. Cade McNown, Heath Shuler, Akili Smith, and all his other future brothers-in-ineptitude will be waiting there to welcome him.

Why trade a pick for a guy who'll end up getting cut anyway?

Wait a minute. I heard the deal is for a 5th round pick PLUS an additional pick in next years draft! A 5th and a possible 3rd. Is Ramsey worth two picks?

Where'd you hear that? Mike Greenburg is on in the morning, so it might be old.
