Easy 1. Oline wasn't up to standards 2. Due to injury they didn't have the running game they should have had. Running game was working and you can get by with an inexperience QB. 3 Severely depleted wr corps. Look how many of their Wrs finished on IR. 4 Coaching staff and the FO were not even on talking terms. Even the coaching staff were divided between offense and defense. 5 Inability to stop the other teams running game

Even if you COULD throw a baseball 95 mph, (keep in mind that more than half of the pitchers in Major League Baseball can't hit 95mph on the gun) it is both irrelevant to the conversation, and just gives us more material to make fun of you. Now to the on-topic stuff: The raiders should be an improved team this year, but Al Davis is too old and crazy to properly run a football team. As the owner, this guy needs to go on a cruise and relax while moderately intelligent people do the real work. He's too much of a fan of the stopwatch, and doesn't understand that it takes a lot more than speed to be a great football player. Secondly, there is no way in hell that the raiders are going to out-run the Jets this year, and here's why. With Rex Ryan's mentality we are going to be a monster defensive team, focused on controlling game tempo, the clock, and keeping the other team out of the endzone. This means we will be a run-first team, we are less likely than the raiders to be playing catch-up early in the game. This means more carries for our RB's behind our monster O-line and Tony Richardson who has blocked for many 1000 yard rushers. The raider's defense is average at best, and the likelyhood of good teams forcing you to play catch-up is high. This ultimately means less carries for the running backs, and more passes from Russel, and frankly... he's just not very good...
Again Jets were 29 ranked pass defense for a reason. Your seriously delusional if you think Bart Scott, 185 safety J Leonhard, Lito Sheppard and rex ryan are going to dramatically improve those numbers. Again due to jets shortcommings on defense they are still very weak in certain areas. LBs still can't cover anyone, There pass rushing Olbs aren't good enough to generate a consistant pass rush and there Cbs olutside of revis are still a joke. Lito Sheppard please. Raiders rushing attack is way better than the jets. again reason why Im so willing to make that bet.
