Totally. I never said Ramsey wasn't a reject. But the Jets aren't known for finding the most well-known rejects and signing them all.
Does anyone know what Culpepper is after that injury. Dolphins have to cover themselves if Culpepper has a setback. They are in perfect position that they can let Cutler watch and learn.
The Raiders just keep getting dumber and dumber, don't they? Well now Vince Young drops to like 12th pick or so.
You really should learn to not make a comment if you don't know what you are talking about. Brooks may have the best arm in the NFL. Its right up there with Favre. Did you happen to catch the old QB challenges they have been playing on NFL Network lately? Did you catch the one where AB out threw everyone in the long throw competion by almost 10 yards?
People can question Brooks' decision making and accuracy, but I've always loved watching him play because he can really zing that thing. I think with Moss, Brooks might actually develop into a decent QB.
Brooks is a good move for Oakland for a few reasons: 1. Mobile QB who has thrown on the run with accuracy. If you look at the career stats, his only problem has been a team without a concept. They are a run oriented offense that passes too much/or a passing offense that does not run passing plays. His mobility will work well with the offensive line that is still seeking to find its way. 2. He does have that killer arm, but has more accuracy than Collins did. He also will not get gun shy like Collins became. If you watch tape of Collins, he was often trying to keep his rep of being INT happy in check, often missing open recievers as a result. Brooks will not have that issue. 3. Brooks being released was a wake up call. I think he will improve his performance in Oakland. With a tough minded coaching staff, he will get tougher. As for Walter, though he may be the future, he is not ready, as opposed to what others on the Raider site says. He needs at least one season more, especially with the new coaching staff. Tui will either be the third emergency QB (small cap hit, so this makes sense) or if someone comes calling with a 4th or 5th rounder, he will be dealt. Not that I expect us to release him. Raiders will not take a QB in the first round, now. They will focus on either Defense or O-Line. Hawk is a possibility, but I think he goes to SF.
According to saints fans. A Brooks had his best years in vertical offense. Only when they went to a WCO offense , he struggled some. IF thats true that hes perfect for Raiders vertical offense and has the best deep threat in the Game in randy Moss. IF A Brooks can buy a second or two with his legs than Raiders WRs are going to have advatage over any secondary.
So cutting Collins and signing Brooks to a 2 year deal that counts 1.5 mil vs. the cap in '06 is a dumb move, WHY?... Elaborate, what's the risk?
It's a good thing Norv Turner is gone. At least Brooks should receive decent coaching. (To me, Turner is one of the five worst coaches in NFL history.)
