I guess the biggest question is whether or not he is a NYC resident. If he is a NYS resident then the penalties are likely to be bad but if he is a NYC resident the law allows for no workarounds. If he is a NJ resident he will likely get the tourist exemption which mostly includes a fine and an understanding that the next time a gun not known to the authorities is found on him in NYS he is getting the book thrown at him.
Originally it was said that he had ammo but the police have changed the report to no ammo was found....BIG DIFFERENCE in penalty from doing time to a slap on the wrist.
Wow..QW not a Bust on Jets yet but busted for gun at the airport??? Are you kidding? Kid needs some common sense fast,,smh 8xs
And definitely not a top 3 worthy pick. DT are slugs that can be picked up much later in the draft. Why on earth did the Jets need another one with so many holes on the team?
Yeah, real rocket scientist Maccagnan drafted there. Maybe Rikers will be his home for a few years. Nice going Bama. Every year the Jets have a criminal incident. Hope Douglas doesn't panic and changes his draft board. Stay on point and get some offensive players.
Tough week for NYJ lineman Forst off ..turns out mo Wilkerson may (ya may) have been a drunk all along now this I hated this pick at the time, and he has done little to change my mind. If only he was allowed the weapon on the field, THEN we may have something! Q Williams is lucky I’m not the Judge, he’d get life in prison!
The more of this story that comes out the less attention it deserves. Q self checked the hand gun at the delta gate in his checked luggage. There was no malicious or criminal intent at all. Simply didn’t know the law. I doubt we hear much of this going forward.
