I agree, but should it turn out that Douglas was lying and that he shares some serious culpability in the Osemele thing, I'll want his ass gone before FA and the draft. If I'm Gase I run Adams legs off tomorrow at practice doing burners, maybe even a little bull in the ring.
NC I get it and right now we dont know what the truth is exactly but I think in time it will become clearer. AS far as Adams I will say it again I must be the only guy that is not a big supporter of his as I think he talks far too much and plays much smaller than he speaks. That said unless he apologizes for his tweets last night I have to believe its true , I mean you would think once he finally speaks to GASE and JD that Adams would admit he was wrong or out of line if indeed that is the case. Just my opinion
You know, I L-O-V-E my Porsche. Took me 30 years to get it. They'll probably bury me in it. But if someone offered me 3x what it is worth in cash, I'm pretty sure it would be gone.. The Jets listened to unsolicited calls, for I'm sure what was a number of players, not just the 2 or 3 being talked about That's just good business. It would be beyond stupid for Douglas to NOT do exactly what he did. Jamal has been fed some BS by his agent here. Douglas' body language suggests that he is being genuine, plus his version of how things happened makes sense, and there is some corroboration of it as well. Jamal's agent's claims...not so much. Douglas publicly supporting Gase means nothing. How did you think he would respond to that question ...that Gase is a miserable failure and if he doesn't get his shit together in the next couple of games that he will be sent packing ? C'mon people ! This is just a bunch of media whipped frenzy.
Once 4pm passed I thought to myself thank God this shitshow of a sports day has passed. What freaking nonsense with all the rumors, tweets, speculations... I had to talk a couple of fellow Jets fans off the ledge yesterday, all for nothing. And now that I thought it was thankfully done with, we have another Jamaal situation to fret over. Sports news has become a JOKE. It's Page 6 gossip mostly. So, we make the Leo deal, and of course other teams are going to check-in to see if there's a true fire sale going on. I believe they weren't looking to trade Jamaal, but they had to listen, and set the price very high. The part that sucks is how that info gets out there. Once someone like Manish tweets a panic message, the other reporters are obliged to do the same thing or they're not doing their jobs. Insanity.
I'm with ya on the sports news thing. They USED to have to report facts, or opinions that were printed as just that, someone's opinion. Now opinions get reported as facts, and if they have nothing, they just make shit up. Manish is the prime example of this, I don't believe a fucking thing the guy writes.
It's unfortunate when these reports get to the players and they react to it. How does the news get out? is it news if it does not happen? In Jamaal's case, was it from the Cowboys side? Imagine if every move you made on a work day was enhanced, sensationalized and thrown out there for the world to comment on... 1-6. Douglass should consider all options but he shouldn't panic. He didn't. Problem is, his allegiance towards the coach - or so it seems.
Adams went from being prez to being very similar to obj. Fans in NY do not care for divas. Had Joe Douglas sat on his ass and not entertained offers for Adams, Bell, Robby, etc. then he would be a bad GM. Adams is a good player, but he isn't Ronnie Lott. Adams should really apologize to Douglas for putting him on blast, and if he doesn't, I anticipate Adams moving in the off-season
its obvious tampering, but they will get out of it. the excuse will be that it was just some social media employee unaware of the rules and not the Cowboys front office. and they won't be punished but the truth is that Jerry Jones doesn't care about the rules and the league lets him get away with it
And it could have been as simple as Dallas called and offered a 1; and JD said no, you need a 1 and two 2s. All of a sudden that type of response get's (mis)interpreted as shopping Frankly, I wouldn't care if JD did shop him even with the sit down. His obligations are to the team, not Adams. (edit:maybe slightly bothered if he told Adams the exact opposite but still only slightly)
Spot on. We know what a bunch of greedy, lying rat-bastards agents are. They're scum. Jamal needs to learn that.
