    Zero loyalty to Chad? What?

Yes, after Chad was coming off of his second shoulder surgery, in Mangini's first season, he made an open competition for the starting job.... This was largely because A LOT of people didn't think Chad would ever be able to play at the pro level ever again after that surgery.... Of course Mangini wasn't going to commit to him...

But last winter, right after our season ended, Mangini committed to Chad as his guy, and made it clear that the only competition in camp would be for the #2 and #3 jobs.... That's not loyalty?

Giving Chad the benefit of the doubt after seeing flashes from a young QB who he, himself drafted in his first career start.. That's not loyalty?

    Wow...

    Now that's funny.

In case you bunker-heads haven't been around in a while, RDriven has been one of the biggest illogical Chad supporters since the beginning of the season...so now you know where he is coming from.

Anyway, thanks for your opinion RD...it all helps in the discussion, however, I think anything going on is far from obvious.

As for the topic title, perhaps I've been spending too much time in the BS section. Now back to the topic at hand:

What is the real reason Mangini is clinging to Chad as starter?

Once again the OP asked in his second post why no one was responding, I gave my opinion. When you saw the title what did you think???

And much like many Chad supporters my opinion has sadly changed for the good of the team, I am trying to be objective. But at the same time I read some of the garbage people say about CP and its like, come on, WTF ever.

Lastly I still maintain going back to my original post Mangini still thinks in his mind that CP gives the Jets the best chance to win, that, like I said above does not bode well for his opinion of KC which should concern all of us.

and no it was not even a comment about post counts, but given Alio's contributions here, it wouldnt be far fetched even if my comments were serious...

He got the starting nod cause he earned it with his Comeback Player of the Year performance. He was the #1 reason the Jets were 10-6 last year. What I am saying is this season CP -- well I have no idea what has happened to him -- but Mangini is sticking with him becuase he gives the Jets the best chance to win. Why else is CP starting after costing the Jets 3 very winnable games? If he limits the offense, defense, special teams, and water boy so much and KC has all this great potential why on earth is KC not starting?

Good argument RD. I think I've narrowed it down to either Mangini really does believe Chad is his meal ticket or he's just messing with the Bills minds.

I don't know about Waffle House. I'd say he's more like a Taco Bell with this 3-4 scheme. Teams run through our defense like crap through the bowels of someone who just ate some Nachos Bell Grande.

If all he does is install KC and thinks that is the immediate solution, his IQ rating with me will be severely lowered.
