Just finished up my season with a 38-28 loss to the Niners... My defense shut down his passing attack which has basically torched the entire league. Shaun Hill and Mike Crabtree were very mediocre, but Glen Coffee destroyed my defense because of broken tackles. I made two crucial stops on 3rd and long and he decided to go for it on 4th down (he converted each time) - I don't really give a shit about it because a win for my team didn't matter, but still...if you're ahead, punt the ball. I now know how Mike Crabtree has such ridiculous stats against the CPU: screens. Hey, it works for Donnie Avery too. David Carr played well...3 TDs, 1 bullshit pick where P-Willy jumped 7 feet in the air and picked me one handed, and another pick on a hail mary at the end of the game. Good luck in the playoffs guys.
Going for it the first time wasn't necessary. You were up by two scores and at the 50 yard line - punt it. You were winning. The second time, I made a big stop, and instead of punting it, you went for the kill. That wasn't a big deal.
Honestly, if it's possible, I'll play you again Mr. E and won't go for it on 4th down. Didn't I do you a solid in our first game, the one we had to replay? I don't see anything wrong with going for it on the second 4th down and that's when you told me 'not cool.'
It's not a big deal. I don't want to play again, you beat me with Glen Coffee...plain and simple. Going for it on fourth when you're ahead is just shitty...that's all I was saying. Actually, you owed me that first win, because I beat you by at least 3 TDs in our first game that didn't record. I appreciated that though...
I didn't target Crabtree because I knew you'd be all over him. It's all strategy! You know you weren't expecting Coffee and the reason he broke tackles is because you love to strip the ball and running backs burst through arm tackles...but maybe I'm wrong.
I was going for the strip and my aggressive style hurt my defense. You threw to Crab about 7 to 8 times - I didn't let him do anything after the catch.
My passing game isn't all that great, to be honest. I cater my style to my opponent. You were bringing a lineman off the line, I believe Long, so dives, tosses and tackles were more effective than throwing to Crabtree into heavy coverage. Oh well, it was a good game in my book. I tried throwing some WR screens but you snuffed them out nicely and another long post corner route to Crabtree inside the 10 you usered the Safetey and stopped a potential 30-yard gain. You have nice user skills in the secondary.
Mr. E said Brickwall's wr's were teleporting to the ball. It was a joke that obviously missed its mark. What are your opinions on going for it on fourth downs? I don't want to run into anymore problems with this during the playoffs.
Brick just used some glitchy plays against me. I don't know if it was on purpose or if just happened that way.
On 4th down, it completely depends on the situation. Any time inside the 5 yardline is fine with me. With short yardage to go in that "twilight zone" part of the field, the 48 to the 38 is fine with me, as if there's not too many yard to get. Any time down by two scores and 6 mins to go or less is fine.
well, I got cheated out of a real game by my own brother no less. 7-7 game and im moving the ball on him in the 2nd and the game disconnects on that stupid challenge glitch. We restart only to find out that his players are now untackleable, unblockable, and force a fumble on every other play. Meanwhile, my QB throws passes way off target, runningbacks seem to be slower, and my personnel is all mixed up. Im so pissed right now.
Everyone but me...I was the only one that lost some games and stuck it out. A lot of guys quit on us.
Sorry guys, I won't be able to play it today :/ Tomorrow definitely at around 6 PM EST, I hope we can advance the week tomorrow and get these playoffs started. Seahawks all the way, baby.
