Re Eric in game coaching to mike T- Problem with his decisions? Eric was always prepared, hindsight is 20 20, looked at it over 3 year process- wan't about a specific decision or game, collective judgment, wasn't about his demeanor, looking to build on foundation.
Tanny: "We want to get the right coach for the situation." Sounds like Tanny and Woody are praising the players but bottom line is, more could have been done with them. "Eric worked very hard and tried his best, no one worked harder to prepare the team, ba-blah, ba-blah...", which is a nice way of saying Mangini worked his ass off but that ain't acceptable if you're 9-7 and can't carry that energy over to playing on the field. Tanny: "It wasn't because of Eric's demeanor."
This makes me think they're gonna go after a guy with experience. Do they want another coach who'll be learning on the job?
Re Favre recent performance- bring him back? W- it IS REALISTIC TO BRING HIM BACK, depends on what BRETT WANTS TO DO!
Glad they just grilled them on the Abe trade and NEVER HAVING REPLACED HIM WITH A LEGITIMATE PASS RUSHER.
W- was a judgment call that now was the time to move Re Coordinators- we have a lot of talent in the building- all part of process as we roll forward.
Yeah, it sounds like Woody will consider Favre again, he mentioned something about if he comes back he would have more time to work with the team. Jesus Christ, 22 INTs aren't enough already?
Holy non-answers, Batman. This is worse than Mangini's pressers. Every time one of these guys says "we want Favre back next year" part of me dies inside.
I sure as hell hope Woody isn't so enamored with Favre that he builds a coaching team around this guy. Having the inmate run the asylum is not what I'm looking for. But bringing in a Cowher or Parcells would almost certainly preclude that.
Woody about Favre: "He adds a lot to the team that's positive." Translation: "He sells jerseys biaatch."
