Bro that sounds all well and good...but I think we are forgetting that we let JP LOSEman pass for 300 yards against us. Peyton will exploit david barrett and justin miller..if we have a chance then we have to get a TON of pressure on Peyton as he struggles against the 3-4. The Pats, Steelers, and Chargers have all beaten the Colts recently because they bring speed off the corner. Watch for our speed guys like Rhodes and even Vilma to come off the edge and try to rattle peyton. And we cannot afford to start off slow again.

prediction: Jets 24 - Colts 21...our defensive front breaks out and sacks Manning 6 times, creating a couple of turnovers for great field position.

Kerry Rhodes, Jerricho Cotchery, and D'Brickashaw Ferguson are going to be a crucial part in our success.

Rhodes - If he can continue to play good pass defense, while also timing that safety blitz to perfection, causing sacks and turnovers, we shouldn't have to worry about Peyton Manning as much as expected.

Cotchery - Everybody has their eye on Laveranues Coles. He leads the NFL in Receiving Yards and everyone knows that he is Chad's favorite target. The Colts' defense is going to keep a close eye on him, leaving Cotchery at a favored matchup against Nick Harper. When the defense sees we're shifting our gameplan to Cotchery, we will be able to utilize Laveranues as necessary.

Ferguson - He's got to maintain Dwight Freeney. Chad needs time in the pocket to precisely hit recievers and move the chains, due to the fact that our running game is abysmal.

If these three guys contribute what they need to, we should win 17-14.

(To everybody going to the game... lets get loud, guys. We're over .500, lets keep it that way.)

Yes it is that bad. Mostly due to the absence of Corey Simon in the middle.

Off-Tackle runs have tore us up all year long.

I agree with a few other peeps here that if you guys drop back some more guys into coverage and make Addai and Rhodes beat you then you have a better chance.

For some reason teams haven't picked up on that yet. All I have seen are run blitzes and teams forcing Manning to beat them. Not a good idea.

way to go out on a limb with a new wacky philosophy!!!!

seriously though...The spread right now is 9, and I don't see Indy covering 9 points. If we can get the ground game going better than this past Sunday, we will be in better shape no doubt about it. But the key is limiting the damage that Peyton can do. The Colts ground game has been sub-par so far, and that bodes well for our demoralizing run defense. If the corners can stay on those wr's and we let kerry loose again to get after Petyton we have a shot.

we do those things....I say 27-24 Jets. We fail at putting pressure on Peyton.....31-27 Colts.

EDIT: It also helps that they had to sign Grammatica to kick since Vinatieri is hurt. That could turn out to be huge as long as the game is close. Martin has sunk pretty low on the kickers scale.

    Jets 28
    Colts 17

Pennington snaps back with a 300+ yards. Cotchery and Coles with over a hundred yards each. The Mangini hand in the defense becomes obvious. The budding running game matures even more. The defensive secondary shows us why they are on the team with some outstanding efforts. Brad emerges for a couple big plays. Close game but the Jets maintain a high level of intensity for all four quarters. Time of possession favors the Jets big time at the end.
