I would love that but even with my most optimistic head on I can't see Lance going outside the top 10 now
Seems like everyone's covered the most likely picks, so here's an outlier: #9. D. Smith (AL) #23. A. Banks (ND) The Broncos feel like they're a QB away from opening a championship window. With the Chiefs in the division, they know how a dynamic passer changes the game. Paton makes an offer that Douglas cannot refuse: four 1st's, two 2nd's, and Lock. Sure, it's fanfiction-y, but... Maybe?
I would love: 1. Zach Wilson 2. Teven Jenkins I would also love taking Travis Etienne at the start of round 2 also.
If JD was to trade down to 9 and then take DEVonta Smith, he should never get to take Banks, as he should be fired and escorted from the building and not allowed to finish the draft. Not taking a QB in this draft would be the worst move he could make, and Smith isn't even the best WR prospect in this class, he's 3rd best. Banks is at best a 2nd round pick, and more likely a 3rd or 4th round pick, and while a good prospect, imo he isn't a fit for our wide zone scheme.
I seriously doubt if Etienne is even under consideration. This scheme doesn't look for elite RB prospects, and in the Jets' case, it would be a foolish pick even if they did take Teven Jenkens with #23. At #34 the pick should either be Creed Humphrey (if he's there), a CB, or trade down. No RB, DE, or even LB should be considered there.
You have certainly done more homework than just about anyone else (including myself, lol) on TGG regarding all of these prospects, NCJetsFan. I'll give you that.
His post was ridiculous, but you really think JD should be fired for swapping down seven spots? Lets see if I got this straight. To you Wilson is worth more then 3 firsts, 2 seconds, a backup QB, and the Heisman trophy winner? This is going to be a long week.
I like Ojulary and I think he is going to be a really good DE at the next level but the Jets need more oline help, however If he’s there at 34 you have to take him but he’s not making it past first round.
I believe Jets will draft Wilson with 2nd overall pick and trade back from 23 to 28 and pick up an additional 3rd or late second, and draft Wyatt Davis with 28th pick.
ha ha ha I was just going to make a post about how ridiculous that other guys post was until I saw you call him out. lolololol As much as I love Wilson, I would seriously consider 4 firsts + Drew Lock for him. We would have young elite talent all over the field. However, yes that would be a dumb move to grab a WR at 9 when we would be staring at a premier OL, CB, LB at that spot.
