I'm surprised we are opening against the Raiders. That's a winnable game. After that it's a crapshoot.
Jesus Christ. Not nearly as easy a schedule as last year. Last two weeks is home against NE and away in Miami? Rough.
Is there a particular reason why the Jets always seem to end up playing the Dolphins twice in the final few weeks? Feel like the Jets rarely play them early in the season anymore.
A good thing about this schedule is that by playing all the non conferences games early, if Geno wins the starting job and is terrible at the begging losing those games isn't terrible. By the time there is a new QB we get into the AFC part of the sched.
They played Miami early in 2009, 2010, and 2012, so it's 3-3 in the past few years. I like that, because it takes away Miami's heat advantage and give the Jets the cold weather advantage.
I'm going to try to get tickets for the Denver game and fly to NYC. What do you guys thinks are my chances and what is the best way to get good seats without getting clobbered cost wise. I have been to many, many away games for the Jets but it would be my first time ever for a home game.
The 2014 schedule scares me to no end. If we make the playoffs we need to build a statue of the coaches starting with Rex and place it dead center at the entrance to the stadium. Title it "yes we can" . LOL
Not sure what the end result will be, but by end of week 7 we will be lucky to have 1 win. Looks like this schedule will help us get a new HC and an actual QB in next year’s draft. Going into the by-week 11, we will be at 1-9, maybe 2-8 if Rex is lucky. The only thing that would be more perfect is Rex using the 1st round pick on the defense again. May all you Rex, Vick and Smith lover get what you deserve, and don't forget to cut the holes in the bags you will be wears so you can get a good look at the train wreck that has become this team. Rex lost his edge when he lost his weight and possibly balls, Smith was the worst starting QB in the league last year confirming he will be a bust and Vick is a psychotic who should be beaten and drown. I'll be routing for the Jets in 2015 when they get a real HC and a true QB.
I actually like our schedule. Obviously with the NFL, it's hard to predict right now, because every year, many teams do a complete turn-around, but looking at it now, there aren't many teams on our schedule that scare me. Gonna be a bunch of tough games, but an aging Pats team, an aging Broncos team, Chiefs with Alex Smith, Packers haven't looked that good lately, neither have the Steelers (though they always give us problems). I think if we can address some of our more pressing holes in the draft and the following cut players signings, we can have a fighting chance against any of these.
Well damn most people said we'd only have 2 wins all last season..ended up with 6 more then that. You thinking we'll have 2 by Week 11 has to be good news. Progress!
Man can't believe some of you guys so worried. A hell of a lot still has to happen even before the preseason let alone the regular season. How you feel so strongly one way or the other is nuts. As of now I'm just happy week 1 Oakland comes to town because no matter what happens they'll be trash.
