Hey, I said good prediction, you obviously used all of your football acumen to come up with those numbers. You don’t have to justify to me at all.
Anybody out there willing to concede yet that Darnold might not play sixteen games this season? Was it really worth the outrage when I predicted he would miss some?
People just don't want to entertain the possibility that our young potential star QB could miss time with an injury or something (turned out to be mono) but nobody wants to even think of something like this occurring
I thought the outrage was over the big turnover number you predicted. Which was looking a bit too high before this news
There were a couple of people who objected to the prediction he would miss any games at all. The turnover number was well within, or below, the norms for starting quarterbacks. The problem is that many here have the irrational exuberance that a second year quarterback here is somehow a superstar, even a franchise quarterback and refuse to face the reality that so far he is not better than average.
You had him at a 1.6 turnover/ game which would have him taking a step back from a 1.2 rate he performed at last year . So basically you expect him to bust.
Anybody up for predicting Siemien's stats? How about his fumbles? lol....@Ralebird...who you got in the Patriot@Dolphins game?
Nope, that might have been your personal outrage; you're the one who wanted me to justify four fumbles lost even while claiming nobody was questioning my opinion. Of course you also stated that Ryan Kalil would be a big improvement at center. Good luck with that one. Getting back to appearances by Darnold - how many do you expect? I'm sure the question has just skipped your mind a few times, not your unwillingness to commit to what is nothing more than a personal opinion.
Even at 18.5 I'd be on the Pats. Look for something like 33-10. Belichick doesn't go easy on anyone; he cares as much about Flores as he does about you or me.
I also stated Kalil would be plus...geez...he looked bad 1st game back. I think Sam will miss more than 3 games...games we probably would have lost with him. C'mon...Pats/Eagles/Cowboys/Pats...? Sam's better off sitting at home watching.
People take predictions way too seriously but it's the assumptions that make them ridiculous. Maybe Kalil will be better going forward, or maybe he'll embarrass himself a few more weeks and retire again before Halloween. It's too soon to tell and all those who just wished him into a starring role need to admit they may have been getting ahead of themselves. Wishful thinking has created more poor people than rich people; that's not going to change.
Yep...I looked at his last season('18) with 16 starts and assumed he'd be ready to play well. I was less sure about Bell...what with his year off. The loss to the Bills has sure tempered my expectations for this season.
My predictions are never wish based, I took, and still take kalil to be an upgrade based on how he performed and Harrison performed last year. I predicted Sam’s stats based on his performance last year and expected improvement coming from experience and a smoother offseason not dealing with draft and combine prep. You never did state why you expected a rise in his turnovers.
