    Oakland.

Al Davis loves burners and they need somebody to put opposite Porter at the moment. Davis is going to throw more value at making the Russell pick work than is probably wise.

Come on Dirty, you know we usually are on the same page with things. But this list is pretty accurate, atleast the "real" list. This is the first off season where the Patriots have made these desperation kind of moves. It is very out of the norm for Belli and Co. I understand completely what they are doing but by the trade for Moss and Welker and the signing of Stallworth and Washington, I am beginning to get confused. I was even more confused when they drafted Merriweather. Whats the over under on who shoots a teammate first? Im gonna go with Merriweather.

On a side note why was Brady wearing a Yankees hat?

Why do you wear a NY Jets hat?

He's been a Yankees fan his whole life. He's said it interviews before. Just the media blowing things out of proportion, as usual.

Can't add Morris for drugs at this point as the drug in question may well have been Sudafed. He was suspended for violating the NFL's steroids policy and claimed that the high levels of ephedrine and pseudo-ephedrine found in his blood were the result of taking Sudafed in the middle of the summer when his allergies acted up.

The NFL made no comment on his claim and upheld the suspension.

Did they ever have to cut anyone? did they ever have to stop spending? NO, I wish it happened but it didn't.

The man was suspended, EVERY player claims the test was wrong and they too something legal but he was suspended.

You don't get a 4 game sspension w/ your first offense so obviously he must have failed other tests.

It's very comforting to know that sammy has found God after "I got into fights, I got arrested, and I was kicked out of school a couple of times. "

The Washington Redskins announced March 22 that they have released wide receiver David Patten. They gave Patten a huge contract.

5yr 13.5M contract is hardly huge. Santana Moss got the big contract that year.

Oh my God! how will they ever survive w/o david patten! and check the contract #s b/c he didn't get a huge contract. he signed a 5 year $13 mil contract in 2005 w/ a $3.5 mil SB. Contrast that w/ Wes Welker etting $10 mil GUARANTEED.

and that was an extension after the trade.

Another reason I think the moves were dumb:

he took less so they could keep the team intact then they lowballed other players and lost a bunch of core dynasty guys and haveothers angry.

When was Curtis arrested? when was Curtis suspended 4 games? Doesn't sound like the same story to me.
